Rick’s Targets

I assume this is sarcasm?
Well Trilly is saying the recruitment is private and every rumor as to where kid is going should be assumed to be false. Maybe Paultz’s hunch about Kansas is off. Possibly the same source who told him Thomasson was a lock. 😜

I kid as I very much appreciate Paultz’s info.

I also don’t dismiss Louisville as many do in this recruitment based on a bad season. They do have resources. Happy to be wrong on this one, but I share what I hear from reliable folks, but have had my share of whiffs as well.

Other than Michigan kid at 1, they are all over the place. No two lists were similar.
So what you are saying is we should not panic over rankings because they are inconsistent and coaches know better?

Hey, thanks for the head’s up.

Next thing you will say is that the selection committee gets some tournament teams wrong because a group of individuals can look at the same thing and have a different opinion.

Just posted the rankings
Who peed on your bran muffin this morning?

Rankings generally are accurate despite some outliers, always has been the case. If a kid is ranked 5 stars for instance then he's more likely to be a star than a 3 star kid. Sometimes the 3 stars outperform the 5 stars, but again those are outliers. That's where the coaches come in to evaluate talent.

As for the transfer portal lists, they're a mess right now because so many players who transferred late aren't featured at all (such as Dingle). A player like David Jones they're likely also looking at career stats and not just last year. All that matters is Dingle is ranked very high on lists that have added him (#14 on CBS), and everyone knows he'd be a huge get.

I would generally agree and think people on here were trashing the lists because kids we were getting weren’t high or even on it, BUT the lists I saw were pretty erratic.

I edited after you saw my post to add to it. Jones is an outlier I think due to his career stats. Dingle I've only seen on one list (CBS #14), so any list that he's not on hasn't been updated yet. Not saying the lists don't have some glaring mistakes, they do, but the main issue now is late transfer decisions being omitted (such as Dingle).
