Redmen.com Gathering-November 8th-Wisconsin game??

Great news about MCPNA's mom, I'm sure the news will only get better from this point forward. I went with Legend's b/c they were the only sports bar out of all the ones I contacted that carries the Big 10 Network & guaranteed a viewing for us with our own section. So far we have about 7 people for Legends, there is room for more if people want to come. Should be a small but spirited group.

Ed Moore, the owner of the Sly Fox, wants everyone to know that they will be showing the game tomorrow night over there, for anyone who wants to come over. Drink specials, too. All mugs $3, and all bottled beer $4 during the game. After the game, there will be dancing via a DJ, beginning at 10 pm.

I like the Sly Fox but they really should get some better tv's

Definitely agree with you about the TV's. Would go to Sly Fox more often if the TV's were a bit larger. Also if the crowd was a bit younger too. lol

They used to be younger. About the time when Mullin was drinking over a Gantry's.

Are people still going to Mad River in the upper east side?

I wish that is nice and close to me. Watching the game at legends in midtown

That would have been perfect its right next to my apt. I will try to make it to Legends if not I might go to East End or Mad River

You are going to head to a Syracuse bar!

I'd love to but unfortunately, my mother having big surgery the day before and I will not be able to attend. I hope all have a great time.

I saw on Facebook that marcus' mom is out of surgery and stable. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.

Ditto!

Yes, doing well day 1 and hopefully all continues well. I am seeing her today. Go Redmen!

Glad to hear your mom is doing well. Continued prayers for a full recovery.

For future reference, I live in that neighborhood too if you ever want to watch an away game, I'm usually at Johnny Foxes.

Mad River is a Wisconsin bar though, in case you didn't already know. Just fyi

I went to Johnny foxes last week for the first time. Pretty good food. Good sizzling fajitas.

I have my big SJU flag which I will try and see if I can put up in our section tonight so we will be pretty easy to spot.

They just changed owners over the summer, so I think the new guy is still trying to find his footing. I've noticed that there are smaller crowds on football Sundays but the food is better than it was under the old guy.
It used to be owned by the same people who own Doc Watsons in the 70s, but with the change at jOhnny foxes I think they are split now.

For out- of- towners, the play by play will be on your laptop from WIBA AM radio 1310 in Madison Wi.
Most sports bars carry Big10 on TV.

Never been to Johnny Foxes but now I have to try it out. I usually end up at Jack Russell's pub on 2nd ave.
