Starting time may have to do with the fact that BIG 10 Network has a DH scheduled for that night with our game at 7 and Florida Gulf Coast at Nebraska scheduled for 9 pm. Let's just hope they don't switch out of the end of our game if it runs past 9 to show that BB powerhouse Nebraska! LOLNot for nothing but they should've made this game an hour later. It's a 6pm tipoff central time, 7pm here. An hour later would've made more sense for Wisconsin and St. John's fans.
Since when do the TV suits give a rats ass about the fans?
They want ratings don't they? It's not like this arena in the middle of South Dakota has another event that night.
Just seems to me that the BIg10 Network would want to show it after their viewers are home from work. A 6pm start? Not exactly. If it was 7:30 local/8:30 NY time there would be a lot more eyeballs available.
According to collegesportsbars.us tonic time square, traffic is an Indiana bar (I have my birthday party at traffic midtown east every year and they are great). That's two options. Traffic would reserve a spot up stairs for us if someone called. Mjmaher was there this year for my bday. Just a bit out of the way for any lirr/njt peope

I just spoke with someone over at SJU Athletics and I mentioned to him about our interest in having some type of "viewing party" for the game. As of right now there is no official event scheduled either at Stout or anywhere else. However, based on our conversation, he is going to talk with a few people about trying to organize something either in the city somewhere or maybe even on campus. Speaking just for myself, I'd like to wait and give the University a chance to put something together before we commit to anything. If they can't organize something we can still pick a place but I'd rather not go to a place that will be full of Wisconsin fans.

Did they say when they'll get back at you? If they can't plan something, I'm good with Traffic or Tonic.
Update - I heard back from SJU & they are not having an official viewing party. Stout was suggested (alums get 10% off their bill) but when I spoke to Stout they could not guarantee that they will show the game until Friday. I'm not kidding, I'm sure they will show it but as of today, it's a "possibility".
That being said, Legends (see link below) is willing to show the game for us & give us our own section (right now they have an area for up to 10 people but they can add or subtract based on who really plans on coming). They were super friendly and very accommodating. I am fine going to either one (they are not too far apart) but my preference is Legends. They are an official LSU bar but happily support all NYC teams. If anyone is up for this lets get an official rolecall going. If more people prefer Stout I will go with the majority and cancel with Legends.

I will double check about the audio but I think they said that wouldn't be an option. Looking forward to hanging again Jerpac, should be fun.
