I don't get Big Ten Network at home and figured other on here might not either. Was planning to hit a bar anyways but wondering if we wanted to try and have a get-together that night?? It's a Friday night so figured we could find a bar in Manhattan or something that carries the Network. Who would be in?
 
Wow, no other takers? Come on, it's a Friday night, we can pick a cool sports bar in Manhattan & watch SJU kick off the season against a Big 10 team with other SJU fans.
 
Don't quote me on this but I think I read somewhere that the game will be on the Big 10 Network (the Big East website lists the game as Big 10 Network for what it's worth)

I checked and I do have the Big Ten Network 1, 2 and 3 channels on Time Warner Cable.

I did notice during the Midnight Madness FS1 broadcast that they showed 2 opening night games and neither was SJU/Wisconsin. But I'm not sure if it was Nov. 8.
 
Nov 8 STJ/Wisc is on B1G10 Network. FS1 is showing BC/Providence and Nova/Lafayette that night.
 
I'd love to but unfortunately, my mother having big surgery the day before and I will not be able to attend. I hope all have a great time.

Awesome, should we just go with Stout? Does someone else have a recommendation? Lets just make sure whatever venue we decide on carries the Big 10 Network :whistle:

Cablevision charges $6.95/mo for the sports package which includes The Big 10 Network, as well as NFL Red Zone. The package which is prorated, can be added or deleted with no additional costs, thereby costing less than 23 cents a day, plus tax. For 25cents, I'll be watching at home and then canceling the package. About time Cabelvision losses.

I have to check with the little lady when she gets back in town tonight. If I'm free I'm there. That weekend is my little sister's bday, so depends what night they are throwing her a party.

I don't want to be in charge of where to go, but I'm not a huge stout fan. I prefer the other big irish bar on the back side of the garden that the crew normally hits up before games.

Irish times. Have to give credit to Mcnpa because he was the one that turned us on to that place. Funny thing is I'm not a big Stout fan either. It's not a bad place but gets too crowded for my taste and we always have room to move around at Irish Times even when it's crowded

Had planned on watching the game out here on long island with Still Happy and some others. Not sure if I can do the City that night since I'm going to away the next week and have a lot of stuff to do before going away.

Will see if I can swing it. Conor if you are going to be out in huntington that friday let me know because if I can't get into the city we are going to be somewhere out here watching the game and Nathalie and Kira can at least hang out watching the rest of us yell and curse at every call

Will let you know. I will probably be in Huntington at some point that weekend and here in the city for a night out.

I'm sure the folks meeting up are gonna have a ball. Even more so, if we come out with a win. That would be right up my alley, if I was in the area.

We all do! Things like this really put basketball and all our other silly obsessions in perspective. Again, we're all thinking of and pulling for your mom, you, and your family.
