RED WHITE CLUB EVENT

Glad to hear new guys looked good. I'm sure they blew out returners because Champ was out. That's a huge blow if for any extended time. We will need him if we want a solid chance of beating BC and TT. We should be able to beat the other teams early on without him. Also, be careful about getting too gung-ho from a practice. AI said it best. Conference play will be the true test. Feels like we haven't had over a .500 record there in forever. Hope Champ is back asap.

McGriff is a pest defensively on the ball and a good guy to go up against Posh in practice to help hone his PG skills.
Sounds like McGriff could be an admirable fill in for Rutherford, who gave us some valuable minutes last year. Especially on D.

Moore and Posh were best two players on the floor today. Moore particularly. Hit inside shots, threes. His passing was incredible. Lanky kid but extremely skilled. He’s gonna cause matchup issues up front because he’s a center size-wise but more of a wing’s game, and made some wizardly passes into and out of the paint for assists which threw me for a loop. Moore must have had a pretty gaudy stat-line in this one.

Posh as I said prior was excellent. GWill was very solid. I’m still waiting to see some fire from him and see him go after it a bit more but he certainly played well today.

We have a nice team here. The newcomers were all very impressive and it was clear that they are a bit upgrade talent-wise to this team. Fun scrimmage to watch because it was played like a full game. Crazy that our depth allows us to field at least 2 full teams with capable players.

McGriff is lightning quick. Will be serviceable as a Pg for sure. Very capable with ball in his hands and will harass even quick pg’s defensively.

Don't want it to seem down on him but Dunn is not a point guard. So while Greg looked solid he would have looked better if there was a true PG on his side today. Dunn is the perfect 6th man. Scoring off the bench. Can handle a few minutes at PG to spell someone but honestly I'd rather just use McGriff as Posh's caddy and let Dunn be the scorer off the bench

Dunn, Moore, and roberts could all speed up the game off the bench. If we’re gonna win big this year it’s gonna be because of our bench, and who knows who will be on it but that is why it has the potential to be so good.

Dunn might be an odd man out as the season goes on. Hes not a pg and he doesnt shoot well enough to be a 2.

I dont see him playing as much as he did last year.

Moore was the best player on the court today and it wasn’t close. He might start the season off the bench but will get starters minutes down the stretch because he can do things that both bigs and guards can do. Moose is spot on about Dunn. Posh is the better at PG for sure and McGriff is more of a distributor than Dunn is.

You rock dude. Going to sit down after work and watch the whole thing. So excited to watch this. Thanks again!
Still same guys standing out. Moore, Cole picking it up.
My fellow South Carolinians.

Chances are lots of guys aren't going to play as much as they did last year, with all the newcomers. But don't write Dunn off just yet. IMO he'll be a valuable contributor whether it's off the bench or as a starter.

Trivia question: which coach recruited the St. John's team with the best Big East record over the last 20 years?

Paultzman being there probably could give a good view as to Champs condition but it must have happened very recently. He was not on crutches and had something on I believe his left foot.

Moore is extremely quick on the break and his vertical is fantastic. In fairness to the old guys, they played the first half without a point guard. Depth looks good.
30 year plus season ticket holder with six seats and Red White member......NO EMAIL
Sent Bryan Peters email and email was returned undeliverable ….ugh
Instead of complaining, I can tell you that Mike Cragg, Nick Vendikos, and Paul Sclafani, among others, are incredibly accessible when something like this occurs. If you are RW, contact one of them. If you need contact information, PM me.

Some of you may have noticed a large white board on the sidelines. CMA has team managers charting everything from boxouts, passes leading to open looks and passes leading to passes, about 20 different things. The other day's scrimmage posh had 13 assists and zero turnovers. CMA is quickly falling in love with him as running the show.

I agree. I got a quick email back with a link.
Red White member never got a link sent .POed
There was an email asking to respond if you wanted the link, then they sent it after.

Few things make a HC happier and more successful then a talented and effective floor general. And a happy and successful coach makes for a happy fan base.
