Adonis and his brother coming to St. John's. His brother left FIU in November and would be eligible at the end of the first semester. He didn't do much at FIU.

Actually spoke to him at CHSAA semis last week. He told me he is enrolled at SJU, working to rehab an injury & intends to play with Johnnies. Claims to have two years left, but I believe he would have a season and a half. Not getting excited, based on past performances around here & FIU stats. Hopefully he has improved. Guess his brother is likely if this comes to fruition.

Not a big deal in the backcourt but a very big deal up front where we are bereft of talent. We lose Gift and Sanchez. Keep Obekpa and Sampson. Gain Jones and the De la rosa Brothers - one an overweight rookie, the other averaged 1 and 1 at FIU. Do the math. That's going backwards.

Sure there is, Steve Lavin. How much more talent do you think a future team can have? Not much more than was assembled this year.
Everyone here was a returning starter. That never happens in major college basketball. And on top of that they added Jordan and Sanchez.

If he cannot win with this squad, it is very reasonable to think he can't have them as a perennial top 3 team. Especially seeing as they are poised to be the youngest team in the world again in 15. Even with great recruits, we've seen what a team of all freshmen leads to.
