Recruiting Impact on “Scandal Schools”

So maybe I was wrong when I thought SJU lost out on Check Diallo because of the pretty coeds and the glorious nightlife of Lawrence, Kansas? :p
Fixed it for ya

Touché. Thanks for your checks and balancing there. Apparently both are very important in Lawrence Kansas as well. ;)

The NCAA has to be careful here with this Kansas investigation. TJ Gassnola has said under oath that no one at Kansas including Self new about the payments to Preston. The NCAA has essentially answered that with the fact that Gassnola and Adidas were essentially boosters and therefore Kansas can't claim ignorance. That is problematic because that opens a whole can of worms with regards to Sneaker/Apparel deals with schools. Is Nike a booster for SJU? For Duke? For UNC? etc. The NCAA can't nbe naive and not know that these sneaker companies run the AAU programs and steer kids to schools all the time. Are they acting as boosters in those cases?

Dick Vitale Says Allegations Are Coming For 2 Major Programs

Zona &LSU reading between lines

Can someone email me when Kansas, Duke, Arizona and Louisville get the death penalty? Otherwise none of this matters and things go on as usual.

News just broke that it's Cleveland State and us.

I wonder if I will live long enough first just to see Duke get charged and then to see them get properly penalized.
Can you imagine how good it would be to watch an NCAA tournament with Duke, Kansas, LSU and Arizona sitting out due to infractions. I would personally love it.
And, you know, they wouldn’t be missed...college affiliation is what makes college bball impervious to the absence of individual players and schools

Won't happen until after K is retired, but you are young enough to last that long.

Vitale:
Sources tell me that @LSU has been notified by the @NCAA of the various allegations that they have been charged with involving the Men’s basketball program .

Per Mike Waters

The NCAA hits Oklahoma State with a 1-year postseason ban, reduction of 3 scholarships over 3 years, other recruiting limits. This is first penalty levied by NCAA as a result of FBI investigation.

Cade Cunningham, the nation's No. 1 prospect signed to play at OSU this season

Mike Boynton became the head coach of the Oklahoma State Cowboys in 2017, serving as an assistant for one season the year prior. There are no currently known direct connections between Evans’ actions and if Boynton knew anything about it.
