Rasheem Dunn

Just another reason to love this kid; during national anthem, his hand is always placed firmly on his heart.

I have said it before and will say it again Rasheem is just a great kid in every sense of the word. in August of 2017 St. Francis came to MONTREAL to play a few games. Glenn invited me for supper with the team and to travel with them to Ottawa to play a game. I had the opportunity to chat with Rasheem on more than one occasion and he is a super polite young man. He is a very good student in a tough major, accounting, and is a true Student Athlete. We are lucky to have him and I look forward to the role he will assume next season as perhaps our only senior.
Very proud of Rasheem.

Monte - you scared me !!! With the Sears thread up with likely transfer news, I wasn't sure what to expect !!

Great catch though w/ Dunn and the pledge.. Looks like Caraher is doing the same.

Love this kid...tough as nails

Prototypical NYC kid: fearless, tenacious, and not intimidated by an opponent's 4 or 5 stars.

Rah has made his Uncle proud. Hey, didn't we all play sports or in the band for our families? There's no feeling in the world like earning their praise.

From the beginning, the character of the team was set, starting with our fight with NCAA & Cleveland State, before even stepping a foot on the court! We had to apply Coach Anderson’s relentless pressure just to get my nephew to play! After sitting for a year and half, Rah helped the Red Storm to win against West Virginia at MSG with two clutch FT’s. He Worked his way into the starting line-up and ultimately became one of the top leaders in points, assists, rebounds, and steals. And, scored his career NCAA total of 1,000 points. The team showed a lot of resilience despite a number of unfortunate injuries, including outstanding senior @mustapha! Then, shot blocker @josh_j11 goes down to injury, then Rah gets sick for 3 games, played anyway, still coach Anderson went 17-15 for 15 years as a winning Coach! Every game was a dog fight, with a young core returning next year!

My comment comes after the Big East Tourney was cancelled at half-time; Johnnies up 3 over Blue Jays. Dunn Stepped up since he has started; he will continue to improve his skill-set for next season. His choice of passing inside is sometimes a bad one, his source of turnovers rather than getting picked. Improving his shooting beyond the arch is key for taking his game to the next level. 100% Heart, I appreciate Rasheem and look forward to next season!
I wish he could hit 30-33% of his 3's. Would add such a different dynamic.
Hopefully he’s in a gym somewhere right now working on his outside shot. He’s got 8 months to work on improving it.

Rasheem was a big contributor for SJU this past season but the fact is SJU became a better team the last few weeks of the season when he took fewer shots, especially the three, and Earlington became more of a part of the SJU offense. Dunn was under the weather a few games and Earlington may not have been ready to assume more responsibility earlier but if SJU brings in some shooters next year Dunn has to defer to the better shooters.
He can contribute in many ways but shooting threes should be a thing of the past. Twenty two per cent just doesn't get it done.

Paging the Duke in three, two, one.....................:)

Teams started really playing off him at year-end daring him to shoot because he's so quick off the bounce and good at the rim.
