Quinnipiac, Sat., Nov. 9, 2p, FS-2

Slow start big 2nd half.

I got there early so security lines not an issue.

Food trucks are a great touch. If you haven't tried them yet you gotta try waffles and dinges. Get them every year at the Union Square Holiday market they are delicious

Smith looked real good. Brady if hits shots like this that will be huge. Luis looked very good. !st half was bad they came out a completely different team 2nd half

And the heat was bearable upper level. Maybe the trick is I just wear shorts to each game because it wasn't too bad at all

He was sick.
I was actually pleasantly surprised how full Carnesecca was. Nice to see. Lethargic guest half followed by very much improved second. Nice performances by Luis, Brady, Wilcher, and Devion. I’d like to be see a Richmond assert himself more. Hasn’t really done that yet. Made some nice passes. I was also glad to see Vince in person. Definitely serviceable but our post guys have to have batter hands. And, we missed our usual number of bunnies. Free throw shooting looks much improved. Very anxious to see his we play against New Mexico, which beat UCLA. Should be a good test. Let’s hope pops wins.

we saw next year's team on the floor in the last 5 minutes with glover, wilcher, prey, dunalp and lefty.

In first half Coach was yelling Wake Up Zuby, the fans agreed.

Smith is the quickest point guard I have ever seen at St. Johns and he makes some fantastic passes as seen by his double double.

Glad to see LJ react positively to his big mistake in Fordham game. He had a double double and only 1 foul in the game. He was very mature about it in the post game interview. It may be something that helps him mature.

Nice to see Brady discuss how a few good games last year changed his attitude and got too high while this year he will be more level in his approached.

Wish the site had not been down yesterday. The bipolar nature of our posters would have been on full display, LMAO
Yes , indeed . I was wondering if it was my Wi Fi that was not functioning . It said “ This Site is not available .”
Huh ?
I did see the game but , the limited number of posts indicate how few of us got to comment during the game .

Pitino mentioned Scott was under the weather . Glad he explained as Scott is projected to be full time starter .
I was wondering why Richmond was invisible yesterday . What did he have ? 3 points ? He seemed out of sorts all game .
His pedigree is such that 1 poor game isn’t anything to worry about .
Hoping Pitino would have said he was sick too.

Hi All,

I’m unable to access the website through Safari. I downloaded Chrome and it worked. Any idea why I can’t access it through the Safari Browser? Thanks

Well have to confess, since the site was down I just headed over to lurk the Seton Hall Board to get my anxiety fix for the day. 😉
Watching Richmond from afar, his play tends to be consistent with his personality. He is calm and understated. Most always. In the past, that has been viewed by some as him not caring, including me watching from afar. After last year where he performed at such a high level and literally carried that Hall team to being solid, I now chalk it up to being consistent with his personality. He doesn't get emotional, really, on the court. He isn't going to try to force things usually like a star player would and he isn't going to chase numbers. He's unselfish and does positive things that don't show up in the box score.

Now let's get Zuby back to being the kid who last year went after every rebound like his life depending upon it.

I wasn't totally shocked by the first half score. Quinnipiac is a decent mid major projected to make the dance via winning that league. I believe they returned a fair amount of kids, and when a player gets hot in the first half and bangs a bunch of 3s, they can hang for a half. Our defense certainly left something to be desired, as did our energy on that end generally, but once Mabry nailed a few we started overplaying him which left open others for easy looks. Honestly we saw that a bit in the Fordham first half when Johnson was hitting a few out-of-his-mind shots, but the score wasn't as close because Fordham isn't as good as Quinnipiac.

What I wanted to see in the second half was us do exactly what we did, because that's what good teams do when a lesser one hangs for a half. We went out and blew their doors off.
