Quinnipiac, Sat., Nov. 9, 2p, FS-2

Agree. We have not really played a team of any size at this point and add to that Scott being sick and playing three guards was not an issue.

My concern in this last game was Kadary’s lack of offense against a zone. Since hr is going to be on the court for extended periods of time, his shot will have to come around for this team to reach its potential.
Kadary is made for the zone. That kid will feed operating from the FT line.

I thought when both Fordham and Quinnipiac showed zone, we got every shot we wanted. Don’t think Kadary is necessarily an easy zone target even with his outside shot. Kills it in the high post and is extremely adept at beating it with the pass.

OH- forgot- anyone mention how amazing it was seeing that play- the double no look KR -> Dev->Vince…

I don’t think I’ve seen passes and finish like that in a lonnnggg time
When was the last time we had 2 guards who threw bullet and no look passes on the floor at the same time as Kadary and Smith ? I just hope that our other guys are able to anticipate when these passes are coming because they are most definitely coming.

Brady could count to 5 before he takes some of his shots because he's going to have so much time

I actually thought the team was very slow to react to the 2-3 zone against Quinnipiac. Kadary to the FT line against it should be an excellent 2-3 zone buster - but did not see that against Q and put it on the staff, tbh. Way too much throwing the ball around the perimeter with not enough movement against that look. Assume it will be a point of emphasis in practice.

Kadary threw several last game that were too good for our players, lol.

He also intercepted two of our passes that were intended for his teammates. One, he got to the intended target anyway, and Brady hit a three.

He played off the ball quite a bit Saturday, and didn't look as comfortable as he normally is. In fact, both he and Smith played their better game of the two when they were primarily running the offense. People were talking about this as a potential problem in the offseason. I'm not too concerned yet, but it's something to watch out for.

He still contributed though, so I have confidence it will work out, in the end.

Quinnipiac was different, so don’t disagree.

2nd half vs Fordham they came out in 2-3 and we immediately got 2 wide open looks off inside out. One of those as you mentioned was Kadary catching at FT line.

Against Quinnipiac we did not see kadary at the FT line. And I knew the talk about this game (not you) would be Kadary having an “off” game. I hate it. He had 5 assists and could have easily had 5 more had good looks gone in. He was entering the ball to the high post vs the zone, problem was it was zuby or Vince taking a 15-17 footer. If it’s Scott I think will live there.

Richmond doesn’t have to be the leading scorer there’s plenty of scoring on this team. I’m really impressed with his maturity and the willingness to fit in and play almost a glue guy role that makes everything gel together. What makes him unique is his ability to facilitate at his size and I’m glad to see him leaning into that. He’s actually improving his odds of sticking in the NBA because he won’t be a primary scorer at that level he’ll be a Swiss Army knife type of guy. As long as he can knock down open catch and shoot 3’s he’ll be a pro for a long time.

We had some very good looks against that zone in the first half, especially near or at the top of the key. The problem was we didn’t hit the shots.
