We should win by 30+ here. We won’t learn much from this game.

Isn’t Quinnipiac supposed to be better than Fordam?
Quinnipiac picked to do better in their league, but the A10 is way superior to the MAAC, so I believe their rankings were close.

As of now, matchup predictor gives us a 94.4 % chance of victory, which is bigger than what they gave us last night.

Quinnipiac is dreadful. Lost to Yale by 30. Thank goodness we dont have many of these types of games on the schedule.

This will be another beatdown for st johns.

They have some talented kids but wow did Yale run them. Now don't sleep on Yale but if you're picked to win conf can't play like they did last night
I don’t sleep on anyone early in the season. Most teams experience some level of growing pains either in a specific game or for a stretch because of all the new parts. If you bring it defensively that covers up the growing pains some. But look at the results across the country last night. Providence almost lost at home where they never lose. I think Xavier might be as good as anyone in the league and they had a tight one. Seton Hall will be much better than how they looked, and was lucky they played St Peters last night, because that game set back basketball for a decade lol.

I can't recall in the last 20 years any game that was a sure win for us :).

Outside of Smith, our guards didn't really look all that quick on d. I've given Wilcher a ton of compliments, but he really needs to start stepping up his defense. He's got the raw tools to be a menace. The only two guys we have in the back court that can get it done with their feet are him and Smith. He can't just be okay...he has to be disruptive.

Last year I thought he made it a point to D up and pressure the ball as best as he could whenever he was in. Hopefully he doesn’t lose that with increased minutes.

Do you think there's any chance Glover could be a guy to help on that front?

Since he's a freshman, I lean no, but he seems further along physically than perhaps Wilcher was last year. Would be nice if he could channel his athleticism to being an asset defensively. Cause I agree we could use more quickness in our backcourt

I think he will get there for the 2/3 some time this year. I worry about teams with smaller, quicker combos. They are going to beat our pressure easily with Smith out.

The difference in quickness and pressure I saw going from our game to Marquette was noticeable.
