Bad news guys: Heading over to my parents house to watch the game tonight.

Here is the full list of games I have watched at my parents house this year.

Sorry fellas but my parents got a lot of leftovers from their super bowl spread 😂. Don't blame the loss on Daniss tonight, put it on me.

Every game from now on is a MUST WIN GAME. Period end of sentence. Just remember we didnt even make teh CBI past few years. So lets just put things in perspective. I expect a win as Rick is probably pissed. I expect Soriano to wake up. Prefer zuby start though. That guy is starting to becoming one of my favorite players

Speaking of snow games on March 12-23, 1993 we had a huge storm during the BET, I think it was called the Storm of the Century and it paralyzed the Eastern USA, heavy winds and frigid temps with a lot of snow.

Anyway, I made it to the game, St. John's vs. Syracuse, but the crowd was very thin. And the roof of the Garden leaked, mostly onto the fans in the seats not on the players.

We were good that year but lost to Cuse on Saturday in the Semis and Seton Hall won the Tournament for their second time. I think Seton Hall's margin of victory was a record 30 point win over Cuse.

Back then the finals were played on a Sunday.

That game was similar. We stayed at the Harrison House is Glen Cove. SU stayed at the Marriott at LaGuardia. We were exchanging phone calls between us and them and the Big East office all morning as the snow amounts that day were unreal. Around 930 we were told that all roads into NYC were closed with a mandatory snow emergency. So,we were expecting a cancellation. At 10am we were told to get on the bus, that NYC were sending a police escort to Glen Cove and another to SU at the Marriott. We were the ONLY people on the LIE into NYC that day beside snow plows. Dave Gavitt and the Big East pulled their weight for the escorts to MSG. Crowd was next to non-existent, no bands or cheerleaders. After the game we could not return to Queens, so the Big East got us a nice hotel for the night.
Because of this, the next year the Big East mandated that all teams for the Tournament had to stay in Manhattan. Back then we were in Glen Cove, Georgetown in White Plains, Seton Hall and Nova stayed at the Meadowlands, SU in Queens and PC and BC and UConn were only teams in NYC.

Providence is a difficult place for a visiting team to win.

The Providence students are a rowdy assemblage of intoxicated kids that sit under a basket and loud. Recall Jason Williams was arrested at Providence after getting into a spat with PC fans.

If you are a Providence fan you would call the PC fans spirited.

If you are a fan or the visiting team then you would call the PC fans obnoxious.

Fixed it for you :)

Damn...we would make the NCAAs if you didn't like the food at your parent's so much. :D

I need to tell the Jayson Williams story one day…the incident and subsequent arrest in the locker room. 😳 and follow up…I’m giving away too many chapters from my future book. 📕

This board would've been a hoot after this:

"After he was ejected, a fight broke out between St. John's players and Providence fans, then was quelled. Williams headed for the dressing room. He apparently took exception to some remarks and, according to witnesses, grabbed a chair and hurled it into the stands. Kerry Rafanelli, an attorney from Warwick, R.I., pressed charges against Williams, saying his left arm was injured in the fracas.

Rafanelli, reached at his home, refused to comment.

Rafanelli was taken to a hospital and released. Williams was taken to a police station after the game and booked on one count of assault with a dangerous weapon. Williams posted $150 bail and was released. He wasis scheduled to appear in District Court tomorrow and will be represented by John Harwood, a Providence attorney."

I remember going to a snow game on campus vs undefeated top 10 Boston College in 2005 when they had Craig Smith and Jared Dudley. Was Norm's first year and our team was bad but we gave them a good fight but fell a little short. Lots of fishtailing on the drive home

Hopefully we fare a little better this time

I remember that game. I went and then had to figure out how to get back to Hartsdale. Trains were running but not buses or taxis once I got there so I started walking home when I saw my wife come sliding down the hill to my rescue. I think she was lucky there wasn't any cross traffic. LOL
