I might have felt better about this game, had Providence not lost on Saturday, in the way that they did. Now, I think we'll get a very angry Friars team on Tuesday.

Probably would have felt this way, even if we hung on against Marquette.

Now that I'm calm, ok lets see what they do at PC.
I did say they atleast gotta split vs. Marq and PC, but they had this game. If they won then Tuesday they'd be playing with house money.

With this team you can't feel comfortable even with a 20pnt lead, I'll be wondering when they'll start messing this game up.

It's brutal.

Providence is gonna give us hell. They would’ve developed into a top 10 team w Hopkins

With that said, Carter is the key. But Oduro has impressed me the most. Such a solid big man. Gotta get him in foul trouble and don’t get Kolek’d by Carter

Can Pitino keep the players heads up and finish season with some wins? Coach English has done an outstanding job at PC keeping them competitive despite a lot of adversity.

They had heartbreaking road loss, but battled v Butler to the last play despite not having their outstanding center. I suspect English will rally his guys and be ready in front of raucous fan base.

I expect Pitino to do likewise, but frankly he looks worn out and frustrated. Crazy expectations on his part, the press and fans can do that. He may be better served knowing instant success here is unrealistic, but no reason to think a HOF guy like him can’t turn this around fully by year 3. It took Jay Wright, Coach K time, so why not him. Hopefully this job at his age does not eat him up

Agree with all Paultz, but just remember that he created much of the crazy expectations with his preseason talk. Which has probably led to much of his frustration right now.

I know he wanted to get the fanbase amped up, and get the media buzz cranking, but in hindsight he should have toned it down just a little bit.

The press and the fans didn’t schedule a weeknight DePaul game at UBS arena. Pitino did it because he thought he’d be a hot ticket by now. Hubris.

Pitino has to show the team the movie Hoosiers
And stop the pass to the low post!!

Of course Rick set the bar high. What coach wouldnt. He brought life back into a doormat program. We are playing competitive basketball. But as he said he recruited 5th year offensive minded players who do not know how to play defense. The thing with 5th year players is sometimes you cant teach an old dog new tricks. I still find this season enjoyable fun to watch outside of the Seton Hall game. Ill take that over any game i might of watched in the past anderson era games. Coach that coaches, players that care and play. Remember our starting lineup consists of Iona player, Harvard player. Granted I love Jenkins. Ledlum developed into a nice, not great but nice player. Zuby is going to be a power house next year. Brady we see getting more confident in his shots. Everyone expected us tourny and the moon this year. Just look at Cooley at Georgetown, I think Rick did a better job year 1.

Where are these offensive minded players on offense? 😂 I’ve never seen a more hesitant group of players in my life.

Biggest issue is Soriano. I think as much as I try to support him he needs to be benched. Let Zuby start traore come off the bench.

“ We’re gonna run the fence boys and don’t stop to watch the paint dry .”
Or , something close to that ..

Bounce passes to Soriano or Zuby should be mortal Sins .. There always seems to be too much traffic down low and , how many times do they both find themselves under the basket and trying to score .
It’s not the ideal spot for a Center to be . Too easy to get the ball slapped out of their hands or , they try a under the basket shot that has no chance of going in .

Luis has great moves to the basket , usually getting a step on the defender but , then he does that whirling move switching hands and it often gets slapped away . Better off going right to the rim and not . getting fancy . And , dunk it . Don’t use the glass .

This is why it made it even more important that we win yesterday. The same thing happened before we ran into Xavier last time also.
