He took a number of ill-advised hero hall forced shots and generally played awfulI watched most of the game but missed why Jones was benched. Can someone give me a quick explanation? Many thanks.

Of course it's not a good look! No SJU fan is happy with this.
Certainly not his fault we missed crucial free throws. Can’t blame this one on Anderson
No moral victories. Season is a disaster and Anderson is largely responsible for the dismal season. But I don’t think he coached a bad game today.Sure you can. This team is wildly undisciplined, has no offensive or defense identity (we used to have a defensive identity earlier in his tenure).
Odd substitution patterns continue (we had momentum with about 4:30 left in this one and he put in Pinzon which I really don’t get. I guess he was trying to give Posh a little rest before the U4 but come on man give me a break. Pinzon is not ready for that shit, and we needed a damn win)
I can already feel moral victory vibes from this board cause we were in a close game. Man f that. Terrible terrible terrible
They are 2 out of control playersWould not want Jones and Curbelo working w NASA retrieving me from my orbiting space capsule
StorrDid whoever rebound that ball know they had almost 3 seconds??
Sorry Paultz I guess it’s just frustrating to read things like “the team fought hard” when that should be a given. They are playing basketball at a D1 level they should be fighting every game.Nonsense on moral victory vibes, most guys posting today were disappointed and frustrated.
Guys, Curbelo played well todayThey are 2 out of control players
I don’t think he coached a bad game today either. It’s more so just the environment he has created here this season. This team just doesn’t have the infrastructure to legitimately win games like this it feels like. They don’t have the defensive skills and they for sure don’t have the offensive sets.No moral victories. Season is a disaster and Anderson is largely responsible for the dismal season. But I don’t think he coached a bad game today.
One thing I notice about Curbelo is he penetrates well but doesn’t look to draw contact. To the contrary, he avoids it by putting up floaters and scoop shots.Providence with 14 more FT attempts.
He missed a lot at the rim and had a bunch of key turnoversGuys, Curbelo played well today
The fellas fought hard today, but still are 1-5, if they can't beat Butler at Carnesecca on Tuesday, then I predict things to go south real fast meaning lots of blowouts. Probably won't even get 5 wins.Providence with 14 more FT attempts.
And he commits before knowing his endgame. And he rushes when’s he’s got time to work it. Also gives guys the ball inOne thing I notice about Curbelo is he penetrates well but doesn’t look to draw contact. To the contrary, he avoids it by putting up floaters and scoop shots.
Curbelo played well overall, and had some terrific driving layups and some good passes. Those are strengths of his for sure, but he is a limited player (can’t shoot a lick) and he makes bad decisions in big spots. It can be very frustrating to watch him even when he’s plays relatively well.Guys, Curbelo played well today
You used to basically be Mr Sunshine. Welcome to the dark side!I don’t think he coached a bad game today either. It’s more so just the environment he has created here this season. Although I give him credit for getting Soriano a good mid range look. The Stanley basket interference was frustrating but he also fouled the shit out of the guy before it so it is what it is
Curbelo did have a good game stat wise w 12 points and 4 assists. What drives me nuts is at crucial times he does amateur stuff like leaving his feet and losing ball as a result and taking wild layups. That said, you are right he had relatively decent gameOne thing I notice about Curbelo is he penetrates well but doesn’t look to draw contact.
