@Providence, Sat., Jan. 6, 12 Noon, FS-1

Can’t blame this one on Anderson
Certainly not his fault we missed crucial free throws.
The execution down the stretch is purely on the staff. Tie game, force feeding inside to heavily covered Wusu, then giving wide open 3 on the other end. Pretty much ballgame there.
Half court offensive playbook or lack there of costs them games like this.

Sure you can. This team is wildly undisciplined, has no offensive or defense identity (we used to have a defensive identity earlier in his tenure).

Odd substitution patterns continue (we had momentum with about 4:30 left in this one and he put in Pinzon which I really don’t get. I guess he was trying to give Posh a little rest before the U4 but come on man give me a break. Pinzon is not ready for that shit, and we needed a damn win)

I can already feel moral victory vibes from this board cause we were in a close game. Man f that. Terrible terrible terrible
No moral victories. Season is a disaster and Anderson is largely responsible for the dismal season. But I don’t think he coached a bad game today.

Curbelo becoming this year’s Wusu. 4 years in and the team still doesn’t know how to win close games. Losing a one possession game at Providence is no different then getting blown out at Villanova or giving up a big run at home to take the L vs Marquette. The ship is sunk

Nonsense on moral victory vibes, most guys posting today were disappointed and frustrated.
Sorry Paultz I guess it’s just frustrating to read things like “the team fought hard” when that should be a given. They are playing basketball at a D1 level they should be fighting every game.

Truly I’m just tired of being the team that fought hard but came up short. The same damn story over and over.

This one’s specifically pissing me off cause I just wanted to enjoy my weekend but a noon tip off on Saturday and I’m already pissed off

I don’t think he coached a bad game today either. It’s more so just the environment he has created here this season. This team just doesn’t have the infrastructure to legitimately win games like this it feels like. They don’t have the defensive skills and they for sure don’t have the offensive sets.

Although I give him credit for getting Soriano a good mid range look. The Stanley basket interference was frustrating but he also fouled the shit out of the guy before it so it is what it is

What’s concerning is that they lost to a PC team without its starting PG (and beating UConn) with Pinzon, Posh , Stanley and Soriano having excellent games and shooting 49%.

One thing I notice about Curbelo is he penetrates well but doesn’t look to draw contact. To the contrary, he avoids it by putting up floaters and scoop shots.
And he commits before knowing his endgame. And he rushes when’s he’s got time to work it. Also gives guys the ball in
Bad spots.

Push should be our main ball handler but 🤷‍♂️

You used to basically be Mr Sunshine. Welcome to the dark side! 🤣😂👍😊

Curbelo did have a good game stat wise w 12 points and 4 assists. What drives me nuts is at crucial times he does amateur stuff like leaving his feet and losing ball as a result and taking wild layups. That said, you are right he had relatively decent game
