Providence Game

Very nice win by the guys. Especially after PC cut a 17 point lead to 3. Our guys held their composure.

I say after this win we extend Lavin for six years!

Just kidding, guys. And you guys know who you are. ;)

You know what, there has been almost no, I repeat no criticism of THIS team on the board. Certainly not by me but really not by anyone. I really wish you guys were objective enough to actually read posts instead of maintaining an us vs. them mentality. I don't like Lavin as a coach, I certainly like this team. Great win tonight; on to DePaul

Huh?

Nonsense , guys are killing Green and predicting a loss. Read the entire board again if you missed it.

Proud! Gutty win! Beat DePaul!!!!!

Jordan played well btw. Kudos to Phil & Dee in particular. Amar too for nice first half.

And Dom playing solid defense and hitting his FTs down the stretch -- hitting 12 of 14. Starting to remind me of DJ as a senior, making his FTs in the clutch.

Good point Ken.

And dare I say, damned good job by Lavin. Pushed the right buttons.

And he was real animated on the sidelines which I liked.

Team kept their composure when it got real close 2nd half.

He had a very good game

excellent win for the team in one of the most difficult places to play in the Big East. Congrats to the staff and players on this key victory. Glad to see Amar producing as we clearly need bench support and production and he gave both tonight. Truly glad for the kids. They deserve it.

It was also nice to see Balamou attempt some offense, not a bad move in the paint. As I posted in the past I don't care if they take shots it only can help build some experience and confidence.

@FriarFrenzy: Credit St. John's. They made shots & generally outplayed the Friars. Need to return the favor at the Garden. #pcbb

Did Jordan earn his way back into the starting lineup?

I think so

I hope so.

He just has to cut-down on the # of times he goes with the Euro-step. He's got to get back to high-school... just drive down hard down the lane, get fouled or get the lay-up or dunk..

That, and cut-down the off the dribble jump shots early in the clock.

Cut those two things down, and he's very valuable.

He's good on defense; pretty decent spot-up shooter. Pretty good passer.

Also, someone mentioned this, but he has to change this free-throw form; and move his right foot slightly in front of his left foot... maybe that'll help.

Zach has a sense of humor I'd say;

@NYPost_Brazille: I write a critical column and #sjubb lands a big recruit and gets a big win. You're welcome, St John's fans.
