Providence Game

Matchup is set. Wish it was the early night game though. That would have given us a better shot at a home court advantage. Hopefully we get a decent showing for what looks to be the best matchup of the first 2 days.
 
Since I have been on the money with my oddsmaking skills lets give it another shot, I say Redmen -3 1/2 against Providence, tough thing to judge is does Vegas give out spread as if SJU home game or neutral court, since it's somewhere in between.

Just saw that McDermott went over 3,000 in the game, only the eighth player to do so. It was great that BE 2.0 got to have him for a season.
 
Coming off a great 2OT win there is no reason why this team doesnt come out fired up to play this game on our home floor this Thursday. Go for the jugular and put them away early. Do not expend all of our energy for a possible matchup against Villanova who I think we have a great chance at picking off too.
 
Since Prov. Xavier , and SJU are all 10 and 8 with same w/l @ 20-11 hope beating Prov and advancing gives us an edge
 
Can someone explain to me how Providence placed 4th and SJU placed 5th in the league standings?

I understand that Xavier beat us twice so they get placed ahead of us, but we split with Providence, So why do they get the edge over us?

3-way ties are decided by everyones record in games between the tied teams. Xavier was 3-1, Providence was 2-2, we were 1-3.

If we lose people might go just to drown their sorrows. I guess that would be a win-win for the red white

We were up 16 at the half. Played near perfect ball in that first half.

We inexplicably switched to a zone and it killed us.

Refs will play a huge factor. Sheed can't pick up early fouls.
 
I really think we dominate this game !!! This will be a statement game on our home court...77-58 I think Jordan dlo and kar carry us to big east final
 
I don't think this is a good matchup, but it is a very winnable game and I'd be shocked if it wasn't close at the end. Cotton scares me, but stop him and you win. Greeene did a masterful job on him the first time and now we have Jordan playing great D. Gotta take that kid out of the game and be physicla with him from the opening jump. Run him through 1-2 screens before doing anything in the half court. Hard fouls everytime he's in the lane and your beat. Body shots like a boxing match.
 
I think we and Providence are pretty even teams. I give us a slight edge because we are deeper and the game is at MSG. I expect a close game. Im going to tale a valium before watching LOL.
