Providence, Fri., Dec. 20, 8p, FOX

No matter the team’s record, Providence fans consistently high level of noxious behavior elevates them as the worst fans in the Big East.

UConn fans are front runners. Remember all the sell out games during their halcyon days in the AAC? Neither does anyone else.

Georgetown fans walk around with excess pomposity dripping out of their pores. Maybe it is the natural order from being around the Jesuits.

Villanova fans, similarly to Georgetown fans are full of themselves, but they at least have a more recent history of success to gloat about. Although dealing with their “NovaKnicks” stuff is very grating.
How would you describe SJ fans? 😁

Line moved this morning to SJ -6.5 from earlier -5.5. Vegas tired of paying off on SJ blowouts.
sad to say- thats the Public moving the line... i like when the Public is moving it the other way... how the DePaul line went down...

Having watched Prov... with or without Bryce- I say we beat them by 15-20... factor in this is our first Road game...its at the AMP... maybe take away 8pts... 7-12 point win...

Crazy that we don't even own a Quad 2 win.... lol... (6 total points away from two Quad 1 wins...)

Comfortably confident tonight.

“So, naturally, I wanted to see the new Harvard…” President Ronald Reagan, speaking at St. John’s University, March 28, 1985.

I think you may have an issue with the numbskulls from Providence.
Wow, remembering being there inside then Alumni Hall for his speech Was just wondering recently when that occurred

remember him saying I think, I heard you have a new plant, MullBerry.

SJ fans are stuck in 1985. Despite any success of our current team, any thread can be hijacked for 5 pages by the most obscure reference to any of our past players, be it Beaver Smith, Frankie Alagia, Mel Davis, or the Fabulous Tony Jackson. Our 25 years of futility has forced us to worship our past. Let’s hope we can change all that this season.
On my way to Providence. It's my third game there. Great venue and crowd. Excited to finally witness a Johnnies win!

The interesting thing with a lot of the games we are going to play against the mediocre 7(Nova, Butler, Xavier, Creighton, Georgetown, Providence and DePaul) Under the hope we win a good majority of these games are we better off winning by a little to grab more Quad 1 and 2 wins or a lot for a higher NET? Seems like the NCAA will squeeze us regardless.

I recall Elander Lewis connecting with a right hook against a security guard. TV cameras just happened to catch that

When President Reagan came to SJU in 1985, the advance team made a site visit to campus and the surrounding streets. Goethals Road was so bad with potholes and was the direct route to the closest hospital. The advance team mandated that the City repave the road from Gate 6 to Queens Hospital Center! First and last time it was paved prior to Reagan arriving!
also the Secret Service medical team took over my training room in Alumni Hall...they left a nice note!

ahhh the ole Fair weather fan... nice to see you again
I been thinking about you calling me a fair weather fan. Yeah we have been ranked a few times since Barkley's last year, been to the Tournament a few times, but no NCAA Tournament win, yet I still been with them every year/ all year.
Wouldn't fair weather fans jump ship by now. Maybe I'm to the point where I'm just accepting whatever happens, happens just to ease the pain.

Even though I know Rick made a big jump in the 2nd year at every school, after the Georgia game I started questioning will he have a big jump @ sju in his 2nd year here.

I hope I'm able to look back and am able to laugh at me questioning.

Nobody, and I mean Nobody, is worse than yukon fans. Not only are they terrible in storrs and hartford, they're even more obnoxious at msg. When's the last time there were more friar fans at our home games? :(

When we lose the majority of fans annoy me. Also even if we win drunk fans are often annoying as well.

I'd much rather take whatever variation of fan you are, versus the people who literally only comment here to be negative about the program/when we lose/criticize certain players
