So Jenkins takes the most 3s and hits them at the highest percentage. Man that kid sucks!
 
Never in a million years did I think we'd be struggling to get to .500 in the conference in our last 5 games. And now not even being on the bubble. And now not getting a bye in the BE tournament. Same old disappointing and close losses as in the past couple of years. I think that most programs suffer disappointment like ours. Those that don't have an identifiable culture like Creighton, MQ and Yukon in the BE.

Without one impressive W (i don't count Utah anymore) - we need to go 6-0 and make it to Friday night in the BET to make the Tourney. I had thought we could get in with 19 wins... but can't see that happening now.

I actually think we do it... we go 6-0. I think Rick and co make them believe...
-Win against Hall @ Home (kinda) - in front of their fans
-Win at GTown
-Feeling good- they beat Creighton at MSG - soundly
-They pull out a tight one at Hinkle
-Finish off the season with wins vs DePaul/Gtown

Hottest team in the League coming into the BET- we get to Friday night (finally!) - with a punchers chance of getting to Saturday.

I think we do this...

I will watch the game and of course will root for the team to win, but approaching this game with great enthusiasm and hope is just not going to happen. I refuse to allow my self to be beaten down anymore after a season of such high hopes has evolved into this. As the saying “should” go….

The way I see it

4. Seton Hall (10-5) likely finish 12-8
5. Providence (9-7) likely finish 10-10
6. Villanova (8-7) likely finish 10-10
7. Xavier (7-8) likely finish 9-11
8. Butler (7-9) likely finish 10-10
9. St. John's (7-9) likely finish 9-11

Obviously lots can happen by Wednesday, even by tomorrow. 5th-9th is likely to be separated by a single win.

A win tomorrow can change season outlook to 10 wins but also puts more hope into sju at butler. By wednesday our fate will be pretty much sealed.

The 5th place team with 11 wins likely to get a bid. I doubt we get two 10-10 teams in dance.

Completely unscientific analysis, but each of our games are winnable, though I'm not predicting that.
 
The way I see it, there are perhaps only 5 more games for people (two in particular) to use every thread to debate Jenkins.
 
At this point a win at Butler means a 11-9 BE regular season record. And with a win and loss in the BET, we would finish at 12-10, with 6-1 to close the season.

We gotta be on the bubble with that, no?

I dont think my scenario is so far-fetched.
 
I think , however it happens, if we get to 20 wins it’s 50/50 we get in. If we get to 21 wins I think we are in guaranteed. I find it tough for us to get to either win total without a win at Butler.

Your Crystal Ball has been right five straight times and you are the only one on this board who has run the table thus far. I really hope that you don't keep your streak going and finally whiff on a game Wednesday. Winning the Butler game is huge for us and will get us back in the discussion for a possible NCAA bid.

I am so with you on this, hope to be wrong! Didn't see the Creighton performance, fortunately.
