We control the whole game but nova catches fire second half and wins 76-75. Hope I’m wrong but nova at home always seems to have refs on their side. However, we are better than nova. And we will prove it at MSG (Twice)

Anyone heading down for the game?
No party bus?
No bus trips arranged. It appears there are no organized student groups like a booster club to sponsor trips to away games.
Watching Marquette versus Xavier and Lavin spoke at half time about SJU. Said we will beat Villanova Tuesday in that we play very quick small ball but have a very low turnover rate. Said Clark and Figueroa shoot the three very well and that Ponds is an all American and a possible player of the year candidate. I find him to be excellent as a tv announcer.
Lavin has never stopped rooting for and saying positive things about st John's, even from the moment he was fired. Like him or not he's a class act imo.

Yeah, then Katz said no way Nova let's STJ beat them at home two years in a row. He's awful.
I’ll be there as I live down here in Philly. Section 205. This will be my last game for a while though. Cal, Georgia Tech, Princeton, the hall, Georgetown and now Nova. Lots of fun games, but I need a break !

He clearly still has an affinity for our program, which is admirable. I've heard him on more than one occasion refer to us as "my Johnnies". I actually also like him a lot in the booth. Certainly way more than I liked him on our sideline

Yet another project for Cragg. Back in the day trips to Philly were routine.

Seriously? I took the bus to a Nova game during Lavin's years. Unbelievable they got rid of that.
I'm thinking Simon guards Booth, Ponds on Gillespie, Heron on Cremo, Clark on Roundtree ,and Figueroa takes Paschall. Quinerly getting a" little "more playing time but probably still dissatisfied. Won't be surprised if he decides to transfer next year.

Will be at the game.
Typically, we don't play them at the "Finn" Pavillion
Usually its at Wells Fargo, where getting a "sizable" block of tickets is usually not an issue.
Have no idea how many tickets were available to St. John's for the game at the Finn.
Don't get the sense that many tickets were given to SJU
Under the impression that most of the Finn tickets or virtually all are held by season ticket holders.
My niece is a freshman at Villanova and gets her tickets via the Nova student lottery. She was able to get tickets for the St. John's game.
Sellout even w students on break. I'd have driven with you jsj
Calling all Nova students on break........sell your tickets to St. John's fans. Why witness a disappointing loss at home if you have to commute from Long Island or New Jersey.
I want this game badly its a major statement game! It was nice beating them last year as an upset but we were going nowhere. However beating them this year puts the league on notice that this is our year and we are the better team. I really feel we can and will win this game we are more talented then them this year and I want them to go out and prove it!

You gotta be kidding me with Mike Stephens working the Villanova game. Complete incompetence by Big East leadership. And if the Nova game was in Queens, would they keep Stephens on??
If the game were at CA, he'd need a police escort to get in and out of the arena safely
I'd actually wonder how many of our fans would even recognize him and/or know who he was and what he did.

You can be certain that Jay and Nova know we are coming on, and they will not take us lightly. They will be ready, and their fans will be loud. Testament to them that they sell out the place with students away. Some will come in for the game, I'm sure. Many selling SRO tix on stubhub
Jay Wright will say his usual about playing us in that we are dangerous and a good team ,alls wants to cover himself Can only get more respect from this game huge if we win if it is very competitive can not hurt us too much
