I am going to be in NYC this Saturday taking care of many errands for the Christmas Season. Was thinking of attending the game. Anybody on the site have 1 ticket available for purchase.  Thanx. Lifelong Johnny Fan!!!!

The only way we beat SH is if we have a real good  shooting and strong rebounding game .also we do not go into our usual slow stars
Been very disappointed in Colburn how could his outside shooting turn to S##T if he just did what he was suppose think we would have beat Indianaa

i wouldn't be surprised if seton hall or iona  brings in more fans to the garden than us.

As far as I can tell they've sold out their season tickets so it's a virtual certainty.

I have never seen a double admission college doubleheader at the Garden, for what it is worth.

In the old days sometimes they had single admission triple headers.

FYI, for anyone wondering why SJU doesn't play more games at MSG. Remember, any SJU fan who buys tickets to this game gets the Seton Hall/Iona game too.

College doubleheaders are not uncommon at the Garden . They usually involve 4 local teams .Manhattan - Fordham games were often tied in with an SJU game . It would be great to have more of these in the near future since they would guarantee good MSG attendance .

Playing Pittsburgh made me remember one of the best finishes ever in St. John's history. 2011 Dwight Hardy drives down the court with St. John's down by 1 after a Pitt player just drained a 3 and maneuvers around a #4 Pitt team who thought that they had the game won and lays in a deuce to go up by 1 with less than 2 seconds left. Pitt didn't have enough time to get off a decent shot and we won. That was an amazing finish.

Remember that Pitt game well,  hard to believe how long ago already.

Family trip to the game, garden was rocking

Thank God for Covid because at least we will have an excuse for abysmal attendance now that Seton hall fans will stay home.

Going to guess attendance may be around 3k.   Pitt fans likely arent following an abysmal team to msg.

Since it was a one ticket admission to both games I am curious what they are doing with SH and Iona fans that have tickets.   Clearly were going for game 2 but the ticket is still valid for game 1 so are they all out of luck?

I would be pissed if I had tickets and our game was off and was told too bad watch SH \ Iona instead

I believe they are issuing game credits for another shu game

Can anyone tell me what Big East teams we are suppose to beat ?Can’t find any , that’s not being neg it just evaluating the talent of all the BE teams and coaches we are going to play  Creighton beating  nova  2nd 1/2  Obviously can  count these 2 that we probably will not beat. Now things can change and we could all  put everything together  and put a win streak together and surprise. Now that would be great

Just spitballing here, but maybe what you see on any given day or in a stretch of a few games is not actually a full representation of what a team will be when the full body of work is there to be evaluated.

Nobody is ever as good as they look on their best day or as bad as they look on their worst. And sometimes the matchup just doesn't work.

Let's see how the season plays out - the league is going to be very tough but I think SJU will find itself in the top half at the end and probably playing its best ball then as well.

Great game, amazing finish.  I was there with my son and his then GF who was a Pitt alum and had been giving me grief the whole game.  After that shot I didn't need to say a word; Dwight Hardy drove toward the hole, reversed directions twice and then tiptoed down the baseline and converted a reachback scoop from behind the backboard.  It was the most creative and exciting game winning play I've ever seen.  I believe that was the year we beat 4 top ten teams down the stretch and Pitt was #3 when we won that game.  The Garden went absolutely nuts and thw whole area around the Garden, bars and restaurants included, were completely nuts after the game.

This is the definition of "rumor", but hearing a potentially startling report of a fairly important player being in protocol and unavailable today.  Take it with a large grain of salt but begin to prepare yourself emotionally just in case.
