Tha Kid's kid will be playing in the halftime game on the court.  We still haven't had a single practice due to COVID/gym space and we are a group of 5th graders (though Tha Kid Jr. is playing up as a 4th grader) playing a 6th grade team, so the deck is stacked against us, but the kids (and coaches/parents) are psyched.  Please give the St. Augustine's boys a little extra love during halftime!!

As much as I don’t like Gillespie, I never want to see a player end their college career that way.
Have seen nothing official? At about this time last year he was declared out for season, confusion?

That's awesome!  I am coaching my son's team as well (4th grade).  How do you go about being considered for the halftime game?

By the way.....I hear you when it comes to Covid pauses and gym space.  It's been another tough basketball year for these kids.

very cool I’m sure Monte and Eric will be betting on the halftime game so if there are any injuries you better let them know :)

JohnnyFan - the guy who runs our church's CYO program got an e-mail from a Sales Rep with St. John's athletics about packages either just for the game or potentially to have a half time experience.  I imagine they are all taken for this year, but you could reach out to the sales department and maybe get a lead on a chance for next year.

My 5th graders arent much ahead of my 2nd graders right now bc they havent played in 2 years (I am being a bit facetious, but the difference is MUCH smaller than it should be) and they only played organized in 3rd, if at all.  We finally get gym space back this week so will have our first practice on wednesday, but had to schedule every game for the season on the road.  I'm just excited they are back and playing!  Good luck with your season.

This article is saying his is done for the year

The first paragraph is referring to his season ending injury last year

hopefully, Gillespie reads that and stays home nursing his injury.

My boys got to play before a Trailblazers' game at the Moda Center when they were in 5th grade. (They're seniors now) The time goes super fast during the scrimmage. If you're coaching, rotate the kids quickly so they all get to play a bit. Hopefully, they're not too amped to put the ball in the hoop. They'll remember the experience but not the score.

Per Zach B, Collin Gillespie and Justin Moore are game time decisions, Villanova says. #sjubb

And of course both Gillespie and Moore will show up, play, contribute big, and Nova rides them to an easy win. OTOH, if they don't and Posh is able to play and contribute, maybe we see a different outcome.

Not sure about Moore, but I would be surprised is Gillespie plays.  He could barely put any weight on it when he left the game Saturday.

Posh will probably beg to play, but I think it might be wise to sit him.
