I know it’s been mentioned by some to move Smith over Mathis into the starting lineup. I want to see more Smith, but I don’t think this is the game to insert him in the starting lineup. Martin and Jackson might be the 2 most physical wings in the conference.

Excellent point re UConn bully ball guys. Hopefully Mathis understands his value for Johnnies lies in rebounding, defending and adding physicality, not chucking away at inopportune times

Would really like to see some crisp perimeter passing today.  We are on the short end of that every game.  Disciplined and talented teams like Villanova are surgical in that regard, and it always leads to open 3.  For all reasons that have been discussed repeatedly, SJU is a mess on both sides with that.

Looks like the entire huntington train line to mineola is having work done somewhere making the train way too long of ride with switches. So now have to drive to garden city just to get that separate train line. mjmaherjr will be walking into MSG in a bad mood tomorrow hopefully they can shock me with a win

Thanks for the heads up, you can pick me up on the way to Mineola
Mineola train station has the same issues. Have to go to the garden city train station across from the Garden City Hotel

I'm gonna go out of Seaford. Could have stayed in the City tonight but I have dogs to take care of.

Let’s hope SJU takes care of the dogs this afternoon too.

Like so many SJU teams, current and past, I really like the kids we have on the roster.  They work their asses off and are pretty tough.  Let’s hope they can win one in the garden for themselves and allow for some crow to be served on Super Bowl Sunday.

Even with Posh out, I think SJU pulls this out.

Uconn is hardly an offensive juggernaut, and there isn’t the same concern as Villanova’s passing and shooting.

We will ultimately find a way to grind out an ugly 3-5 point win (which will be beautiful in our eyes none-the-less).

Definitely the right message!!!

Holy mother of God, this team constantly comes up with absolutely the worst plays in the final possession.
