My family and I are jacked up for the game tomorrow. Pre game dinner at Umbertos in New Hyde Park and then plan to get there early for shootarounds.
I've been there, but I prefer King Umbertos on Hempstead Tpke. in Elmont.
King Umbertos also great. Fantastic clams oreganata.

The campus bookstore usually stays open on game days for Men's Basketball.

Doesn’t look like this is going to a sellout.

Lots of seats still available on ticketmaster and lots of folks reselling. Be prepared to see lots of empty seats.

Hopefully those who do show up bring the energy.

People have plans on New Year's Eve. A daytime game would have been a lot more convenient for many people.

My family and I are hosting a dinner for friends. I'll check on the the game afterwards.
Ridiculous date and time for game.
Agree. Plus we’re the second game of a Big East doubleheader on FS1, after the Georgetown-Providence game at 5:30. So I don’t see our game starting at 7:30 PM. Too late a start for New Year’s Eve, IMHO.

I expect the game will start on time. If the first game goes past 7:30, we will miss the beginning of our game.
Im watching Florida State right now and their arena is empty. Where are the fans???
In El Paso for the football game.

Excellent idea offering high school kids to get in free tonight to experience a part of what it’s like to be a student at St. John’s. Cragg really does know what he’s doing!

Zach B
Seton Hall with a big jump, up to 25 in new NET ratings. St. John's at 51. Can make a leap with a win tonight over Butler, which comes in at No. 4. #sjubb #shbb

Hopefully they learn from mistakes if it's a flop. But giving tickets away to schools hopefully brings in a boisterous crowd.

I guess NYE isn't a holiday for a lot of people, otherwise a noon game would be great. I'd come in for a game at that time -- my family does NYE dinner every year out east and even with early dinner would unfortunately never make a 7:30 game.

It is a bad time for a game even for those of us watching from afar. My wife, son and one of my daughters who is usually here from NJ normally go out for a fixed price three course dinner on New Year's around 7 pm and get home after 9. I had to use a little creativity this year and make a reservation at a different place that happens to be my wife's favorite restaurant for 5:30. Luckily she loves to eat early and has no idea I have an ulterior motive for my early dinner machinations....It's 5 minutes away and with any luck we'll be home for the tipoff!

Game time works well for us as we prefer the game to dinner out when we can go to the same places any other day with much less hassle and cost. But it’s understood that is not the norm.

This game is scheduled one hundred percent for Fox, as is a lot of the schedule. Just the way it is now. Next home game will be a much better indicator of whether interest is picking up.
