Great win. Great team win

i thought turner and fanta were excellent. Real college feel to the broadcast. You can feel the passion they have for the college game in the broadcast.

great seeing Greg Williams flying around again. He cut hard, hit a big shot, defended well and his poise is what we need at the end of the game

congratulations coach on #400!!

Fanta is quirky and weird and idk what other conferences fanbase’s think of him but I’m glad he’s our guy.
He makes a mean Orange Soda too

Wanted to point out I'm actually enjoying the multiple units we roll out. It's almost like the A squad and B squad. I know earlier in the year some had issues with CMA substitution patterns. And he's still not perfect. But it's seemed to work well.

Great win!

With that said, they really gotta work on closing games.  That could have gotten really ugly.  I'm not sure why CMA has a freshman that comes off the bench as his inbounder to close games.  This is 2 games in the row where Wusu made critical mistakes inbounding the ball.  Also, why in the world do we have an 88% free throw shooter and no running plays at the end to get him the ball when we know the other team is going to foul?  Champ and Cole should be the goto guys in this situation, I'm not sure why a high 60's, low 70's guy in Dunn is the guy that's always getting it in this situation, he goes 1 of 2 in those situation more often than not.

I do agree that they really should try harder to get Champ the ball but the other team is covering him tight and usually have lighter coverage on Dunn who they want shooting the FTs.

It actually seems that we gain momentum once we inject the subs.  I still think Champ gets too much rest.

The B squad is better then the A squad because you are getting nothing offensively from Cole and Roberts.  The B squad brings tougness, energy and can score the rock.

Champy might ask for a demotion soon.

I can't imagine being a college basketball fan and not enjoying John Fanta.  He absolutely loves the game - and underneath that (genuine) personality he's a good reporter, interviewer, and play by play man.  He's awesome  - a non-annoying, much more substantive version of Dickie V.

I am knit picking here, but one additon I would like to see to our offense is the drive and kick.  A few times when Dunn went to the rim yesterday, he drew three defenders.  I know, in recent years, we have been thirsty for a spot-up 3-point marksman.  Well, I think we have that guy now (Cole).  Cole comes with his deficiencies, but he does rebound the ball and can definitely knock down the shot.

I am thinkning late in the shot clock, the drive and kick-out could be an extra wrinkle for our offense.

Lol did you watch the game last night? Seriously. It was an exhibition of ball movement.

Beautiful win, as mentioned by others. Loved the balanced scoring and emphasis on rebounding.

Not to throw cold water on a great evening, but I need to comment on one thing. I'm not a mod, and if a mod feels this is inappropriate, I understand. However, to refer to our players (or any players or human beings) as "retards", or "dumb" or "stupid" crosses a line.

I'm a proud alum. Graduated in January of 1985...,the night they received a number one ranking in the polls. I love this program...and have suffered like everyone else. However, there is an an amount of decorum that should be exhibited. If you are that wound up by a college basketball game...might I suggest that you examine your priorities?

They glory days are returning. How about enjoying the ride.

Great post.

I agree w Roberts and Cole. Moore should play more, and Champ should also play more. Cole is too inconsistent and Moore is an automatic dunk when he gets the ball by the basket. IMO he offers more than Roberts.
The Duke was on fire yesterday, Hopefully his 3 point shooting will continue.

Great team win. Loved the grit and determination that our team displayed, especially right after a very disappointing overtime loss in a game that we should have won in regulation.

Champ and Posh were outstanding and are clearly among the very best at their positions in the Big East. So much for concern about CMA's ability to recruit. I was really pleased with The Duke and Moore's performance as well. While I agree that Moore should play "more", I like him on the second unit and would leave Roberts as the starter. One adjustment I would make is to give Greg more minutes and cut back on Cole's time on the floor. At this point in the season, I think Williams is the more productive of the two.

On to DePaul. With the makeup of this team, I do not foresee a letdown and expect a hard fought "W".

Agree the ball movement was very good.  Think you're missing my more detailed point.

Cole needs less time, and go in when the game is under control, his shot is way  to inconsistent .For someone that was to be a scorer he hasn't contributed much. He doesn't  seem to be able to create his own shot. Needs to do more to catch and shoot. Seems just to hang out in the corners, needs More energy .
.Look possibly he just needs more time .for his size he need to get stronger so he can rebound better and his  outside shooting will come around

What you said plus I suspect he might benefit from coaching that helped him simplify his shot mechanics.
