Posh Alexander 15 points, nine assists, eight rebounds, three steals, zero turnovers and terrific defense on Paul Scruggs. Freshman of the Year award is basically his. #sjubb

Can u imagine what this kid is going to look like as a senior???  My goodness.  This is going to be some ride!
If he's still here as a senior, that might be considered a dissapointment (don't worry, I'm sure he's back next year).

Even if his outside shot always limitis his NBA potential, he really can't get much better at the rest of his game, then he is now.  So, the overseas offers may come after next year.

That's just speculation on my part, though.

Great win.  Enjoyable game.  Love the point distribution.   Congrats coach on 400!!

Posh won't last here 4 years! Give him 3 max, which is great but MA needs to start recruiting his next point guard now!

People are correctly giving Posh the ROY buzz but what's stopping him from getting the DPOY award as well?? Who deserves it over him? He's a one man press
what was very impressive tonight is he started 1-6 and ended 7-15 with no drop off on defense, composure or decision making...a natural leader. . . One of most "seasoned vets" as a freshman

Tremendous win.  So many kids played well.  Earlington was terrific.  Dunn was very good.  Champagnie with another quietly efficient big game.  Moore dunks everything in sight but I am most impressed with his terrific hands.  Posh didn't shoot particularly well, but he left his imprint on every facet of the game.  The kid is as tenacious as they come.  And although Williams missed some bunnies, he hit a clutch three and looked more aggressive.  His defense was also generally very good.  Really impressed with how CMA has these kids playing.  On to DePaul!

Time to start Earlington or Moore over Roberts. Josh has to be our third option at the center position.
Nice improvement in the rebounding department. Outrebounded Xavier 42 to 37. Alot better then the first game when Xavier had 57 to our 40.
Surprise we had more turnovers 11 to their 8.
What a motor on Posh, great second half.
Have to agree with other posters about getting the ball at the end of the game to Champagnie on our out of bounds play.
Thought Wasu was a little careless tonight with 4 turnovers.
Team effort tonight.

I thought Earlington may have had his best all-around game tonight.  Drawing the charge, rebounding, solid defense, and of course the 3-ball.  He's a valuable player.

Great win!

With that said, they really gotta work on closing games.  That could have gotten really ugly.  I'm not sure why CMA has a freshman that comes off the bench as his inbounder to close games.  This is 2 games in the row where Wusu made critical mistakes inbounding the ball.  Also, why in the world do we have an 88% free throw shooter and no running plays at the end to get him the ball when we know the other team is going to foul?  Champ and Cole should be the goto guys in this situation, I'm not sure why a high 60's, low 70's guy in Dunn is the guy that's always getting it in this situation, he goes 1 of 2 in those situation more often than not.

Totally agree that Wusu shouldn't inbound thr ball.  I don't agree that Cole should be in the game.  His ball handling and decision making are way too shaky.  To me, his role should be limited to shooting a few threes with his feet set, particularly when the opposing team is going zone.

Great game. It feels good to finally beat Xavier. Overall the Johnnie's played really well. There's still issues in their closing game. It didn't cost them the win this time.

Congrats to Mike for his 400th win. Coach Anderson should be considered for Big East Coach of the Year.

Great win over a team that we haven't beaten since Lavin was coaching.  Most impressive thing may have been that we only scored 6 points off turnovers while rolling a 93.

Agree with others that we should try to utilize Champ more on end of game inbounds.  He is a big target and will either have a height advantage against a guard or a quickness advantage against a big.  Plus, he is our best free throw shooter.  Cole is likely not used here since he isn't always strong with the ball.  I would like to see them set a screen to free up Posh and Dunn instead of having them try to get free one on one.  Perhaps roll one of them off Champ and then have him flash so you have three inbound options.
