POST-GAME) St. Francis (Bklyn), Wed. Dec. 19, 6:30p, FS-1 / 570 WMCA

Earlington had 7 points and 5 boards in less then 2 minutes of action. Including, the oddest offensive rebound putback you will ever see (or not see, in my case. Since everyone stopped, I started questioning why the refs had called it a shooting foul, so the St. Francis guys through me off - thankfully, Earlington was awake).
I didn’t watch the end of the game. Looked at the stats and when I saw Earlingtons numbers, I couldn’t believe it. Perhaps I misjudged him.
Made a three. Exit velo was normal. Had a couple of layups. Happy for him. Project that will take a lot of time. But if you joke around about him there is some guy on here who is his mailman or something and he will get upset.

It was great to see the freshmen play. Williams looks good. The surprise was Earlington; he scored seven in just a few minutes of play. Roberts also looks good. CM might need all three before this campaign is over.

4 minutes for Earlington. I erred earlier. He and Roberts came in at the last media TO. Cole, Camus, and Lawrence came in with 2 minutes to go.

Obviously, we will not be seeing that group playing major minutes come Big East time, but they did a good job out there tonight.

I thought Marvin Clark was excellent tonight. He was strong on both offense and defense. Figueroa plays well every night and has been a great addition to this team. Heron is still fighting it a bit but he too had some good moments. Let's hope he finds himself quickly as he is going to be a big part of this team and a huge part of this team hitting its goals. Williams even gave some glimpses.
Best all around victory since the Rutgers demolition. Really looking forward to the last tune up so we can move into the Big East games. 11-0. Go St. John's!

He's clearly a better shooter than your boy Simon.

I think he could develop into a solid 8th or 9th man by his junior year if he's patient and is willing to play the four.

Fewest complaints after a game that I can recall for 25 years.

As it should be when you convincingly take care of business
Nice to see Earlington hit a three. Love Roberts athleticism as well. All in all a very good night. Just need to get Keita back and have Heron not be so worried about his stat line
Love Heron. But, you are absolutely right. He is hunting points. Was at game and didn’t like his body language when he was taken out of the game. He took 11 shots, more than everyone except LJ.

He needs to let it come to him like he did at Rutgers.

BS, bad enough you feel the need to goof on a kid behind an internet alias but now you back off with the old 6th grade “I was only kidding.” Why doesn’t that surprise me?

WASJU is a good guy and was just trying to be funny. He's in a posting slump :)

I thought Williams looked much more comfortable out there tonight, thinking less about where he was supposed to be and just playing. Looks like a real asset and hopefully he'll be up to speed enough to help in BE games if needed. Earlington has a relentless quality to his game, never quits on a loose ball or rebound. As his skill level increases he could become a real asset over the next few years with his focus and work ethic.

Nice W. Dixon looked very good and will probably get some of Trimbles minutes. Nice to see the Frosh get minutes. Williams looked good. I didn’t get to watch the 2nd half so didn’t see the others. But, maybe Earlington can become a Glover like junkyard dog?

I kid about most everything. But just to reiterate all of his previous shots this year were as bad as you could possibly shoot a shot. It was almost like when they pull a guy out of the stands to shoot a foul shot. It is a basketball forum and was having fun with Earlington's garbage time performance to date. The fact that you took exception to this is pretty ridiculous. Kid has a scholarship to play in the BE. This is a basketball forum. Next time he comes in and misses wide right and the ball hits the backboard at 100 miles an hour I will make another joke.
Once got picked off as a pinch runner my Freshman year in College in a game we were losing on that stupid fake to third throw to first move.If there was a Pace University baseball board back then I would have been justly ridiculed and I would have understood it and so would have my mailman.
