Ugh. Gave that to them. Then that’s bs what the refs did at the end.

Can anybody actually explain the officiating behind that last call? I mean if anything, the ball changed possessions. If we’re stopping the game because the clock didn’t start, how the hell is that not St. John’s ball?

Yes the refs blew the call terrible by the refs. However, that game was lost by coaching. WE did not have any offense until we ran the play for Clark on the 3 and isolated Heron on the elbow. From the 6min mark till the Clark 3 our offense was pathetic. Kids where never put in a position to succeed. This game falls on coaching.

Blown call brings back memories of Dallas Comegys stepping over foul line missed call in NCAA Tourney game

We played bad b-ball at the end but that doesn’t excuse the bad call by the refs. Wtf were they looking at on the review how the hell did SH get the ball back? I still don’t understand it after it was explained on tv.

Settled way too much for jumpers. No legs. I was surprised Trimble was in there ahead of Dixon and Williams Jr in crunch time. Trimble can get taken off the dribble by anyone partially skilled. and Powell did that. Ponds waaaaaaaaaayy too casual in the last 5 minutes. We deserved to lose.

Those refs should be fired did they have seton hall jerseys on under their shirts. Terrible call at the end and stopping Heron mid free throw for what reason I don’t know then he ended up missing.

Yes we deserved some of what we got.
However, officiating has become a complete joke. No way should that whistle have been blown. Absolute joke. Clock doesn't start? What are we in the CYO? How do they retain possession? Its a joke.

Refs F'd up but totally our fault it ever got to that point. Took our foot off the pedal and paid for it.

Stop all the f’in whining about the refs. We handed them the game. 7 minutes of stupid one on one ball with zero points. Ponds and Heron both miss rhe front end of one and ones in the last minute. Clark with stupid moving pick foul. Fig with no touches down the stretch because Ponds and Heron want to play hero ball. I could go on. Of all the reasons we lost, and there were many, the refs were the least of the reasons.

They used the rules from when the Soviet Union won the gold medal. If the last shot was missed they'd get another shot.

We blew enough of the game ourselves but that last call from where we were sitting could be one of the all time worst I have ever seen. The literally stole it from us on that call

How is that a least not considered a jump ball and SJ had the possession. Why did they give the ball back to SH. Never saw anything like that. I don’t understand the reasoning of giving the ball to SH.

The situation was the reff blew the original call thinking Lj was out of bonds. When he blew his whistle he went to check the clock, not weather or not it was out on St. John’s. Because it didn’t involve two players they couldn’t change the out of bounds call. So basically that whole time the two refs were watching they were saying to themselves “damn we fucked this up but thank god it’s the road team we’re screwing”

Seton Hall is a tough team and had a lot of help before the last 4 seconds. We deserved to win for a simple reason - we won. LJF stoke the ball and tapped it to Heron. The game was over. LJF also had a big block on Powell. Just because the nonsense after that happened doesn’t mean SJU did not make those plays at crunch time.
