(POST GAME) Georgetown, Sun., Jan. 16, 4:30p, FOX

Thx for covering the spread ! Wheeler giving solid hustle minutes

What a game for Posh - 17 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, 6 steals and only 1 turnover. That's doing it all.

Some sloppy play but overall a better game than we have been playing. I hope it wasn't just because Gtown was that bad. At least we should finish ahead of Gtown in the BE.

The announcers noted the importance of the timeout SJU called and Coach’s entreties to play harder and faster.
that helped but the real key was after they cut the lead into single digits, he reinserted Champs and Posh.
Posh is the heart (intensity and determination) and the mind (smart passes and control) of this team.

Posh had himself a game.

Relatively easy win with just a quick 2 or 3 minute hiccup…good to see.

Wheeler didn't shoot it well but lots of hustle plays on both offense and defense. He will get lots of minutes if he keeps hustling.

I've been criticizing Anderson but he coached to a solid win tonight

Nice job coach and the boys.

Like what Wheeler giving now.  Would like a few more rebounds, but ….

Also don’t mind at all that Posh took no 3 s.  That’s not his game.  He’s at his best creating, moving the ball  and getting his points in flow and  context.

Smith hit 2 open spot 3 s I believe.  His role should be 10-12 mins and 5 or 6 open looks.

I am optimistic when it comes to Wheeler. You can see he’s got the size and bulk to be a good player but it’s nice to see him kinda putting it together lately.

Well played all around game.  Posh and wusu both cut down on the turnovers.

Its time to beat a team we arent favored against.  Beat Creighton Wed or we are right back to square one.

I agree but Posh has to take and hit a couple of threes just to keep the defense honest and to open some things up for us on offense.

I don't think I called Wheeler shitty on the board, but I was definitely thinking it, so I'd like to apologize to him now. He's strung together a few solid games in a row now, which I didn't think was possible for him. Him playing well is a big help to the fortunes of the team going forward.

Nice win. I expected a comfortable win and we got it. Always need to appreciate BE wins regardless of the line or opponent.

Fair enough but I believe he can still play better on both sides of the ball. When he pressed on D his hands are always by his side. Those long arms should be out in the passing lanes. On O he is still far too much in love with the 3 ball and was 1/5 from 3. In spite of shooting 1/5 he had 10 points. Imagine if he understood his strengths and weaknesses better , both he and SJU would be better. Disappointed after 15 games he is still learning but the improvement over the past 3 games must be noted.
was also pleased with the contributions we received from Stanley, Smith and Coburn. It will not show huge stats in the box score but they all contributed.
