Same with me. I have been optimistic and yesterday was a kind of throw your remote at the TV day, but I guess anyone can have a bad day and Coach has been pretty good most of the year. I felt like I was watching a a car wreck in slow motion the entire 2nd half. Coach should have been able to stop it and somehow make some changes to halt the Georgetown momentum. Lastly, we need to figure out who handles the ball at the end of games as Dunn is not the correct person based on what has transpired to date. I like Dunn but he has not shown he can handle crunch time well.[/quote]
Unfortunately, he is our best ball handler. Rutherford does not handle well as evidenced by his constant turnovers once we are pressed.

One thing that concerns me is the fact that the 2nd half press we faced yesterday has been the norm for a while and should come as no surprise. Frankly, we should be ready for it and exploiting it.

After all with 10 seconds remaining I have to think Anderson's plan was to have Dunn drive to the basket hoping he would get fouled or make the basket. As far as having Heron or Fiqueroa involved, neither one can get themselves free. And even if we had more time on the clock our lack of a half court offense by coach wouldn't have helped.[/quote]p9
Exactly. Neither one has demonstrated an ability to get to the basket nor the ability to create space. Big disappointments

I emailed Mike Cragg yesterday when I got pissed off seeing that botch job of a logo on the court from TV, as well as the never consistent logo on TV (all different colors, outlines that tou never see with other teams etc) that kill what little brand image we have. Also shared a bunch of other things like the lack of quality apparel for fans, attendance at MSG etc.
I had to need to send anything but that loss put me over the edge.

Mike kindly responded this morning with his apologies, agreeing with all points and said he and his team need to do better.

I do believe, fair or not, his evaluation or clock will start at some point next season. Starting in the second half of next year.

Sure would have helped if Earlington had made that gimme layup off the pass from Caraher, ehh?

Dreadful coaching, when gtown has 4 guys up pressing, you need to send someone long, simple basketball. Instead we have Earlington and Champagnie trying to squeeze passes into the middle, just awful.

Dunn is hard to watch, goes when he should slow and slows when he should go. 68-67 with a couple minutes left, beats the pressure, has Champagnie wide open underneath for a layup....and backs the ball out! Rafferty says it's a great move but it's not, it's just plain stupid, you're not milking the clock up a point.

Heron has become Durand Johnson, if he doesn't see the ball for a couple possessions, he's chucking it up the next time he gets it, doesn't matter where it's from.

What was with the Rutherford three pointer from straightaway about 4 seconds into a possession?

Still waiting to see Roberts, and his "next level" jumping ability, win an opening tap.

I don't care if I hate you or if you are my favorite poster, anyone who talks about dropping to a lower conference should be banished to the rookie forum. Every player slotted for next year's roster would either decommit or transfer, with the exception of maybe Caraher, who would suddenly find himself at the right level again without having to leave.
