I thought Dunn wasn't great tonight.  He needs to be a shooting/scoring option at least a little, not just defer. I didn't see it as composed.  I thought he should have taken it to the hole or taken his shot quite a bit more to keep the defense honest.

If Dunn needs to shoot a j, he has been effective at the elbow or free throw line. Beyond that, it has been an adventure. Teams lay off him for a reason. His FT shooting has improved recently. I like him as a driving guard. He can finish at the rim or get fouled

DePaul wasn't laying off Dunn as most teams do so his lack of jumper wasn't an issue. I thought it was his best game of the year and I've been pretty vocal about not wanting him and posh to play together. They have made it look good last few games with Posh looking to score more often.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I thought Dunn was the quiet difference in the game. Always under control, made excellent decisions, played solid defense and the nine assists he had matched the total for the entire DePaul team. He deferred on his shot a bit but his passing and floor game kept everyone in rhythm.

Agree, he played a Looie PG game.

Double digit Big East road win, can't ask for much more. We are approaching the bubble.

IMO Dunn gets too much grief from posters. He is just not a three point shooter but  has cut his attempts down sharply this season taking seventeen this season in his twelve games. He is shooting forty seven per cent from two point range , plays with an intensity second only to Posh is a good ball handler.
Those two present a backcourt that nobody looks forward playing against.

Feels good to see us string together a couple of road wins for what feels like the first season in awhile.

Alexander is fantastic. It's really fun to have a guy on St. John's who you can just tell is an absolute headache for the opposing team to deal with. He looks tremendously annoying to play against. I also thought Dunn had another solid game. I think he's been playing well the last handful of games now.

Nice to see Cole and Moore both have good games. Cole looked like he got a little swagger back (outside of those two up and under layups he blew) and I know Moore can sometimes be a little emotional but I really thought it worked to our advantage tonight. Paulicap was murdering us in the first half. He was the only thing keeping us from being up 30 at halftime. When Moore got in the game in the 2nd half he immediately got under Paulicap's skin and I thought that was a pretty big deal.

My favorite sequence of the game was Moore fouling Paulicap who pushes him and gets the tech. Moore swishes both of his free throws. Paulicap bricks one of his and the next possession Moore has this huge slam where he's yelling and hanging on the rim. He grabbed a couple more rebounds and maybe had another bucket but Paulicap was basically a non factor from that point on.

Good team win. Lots of different guys are scoring, the ball is moving well and good defense is being played. These are all good things.

We got a total of 33 points from our 2 juco recruits. Both Moore and Cole can obviously be helped by some weight training to put on some muscle mass which has probably been a tough thing to do this season with the Covid issues and is why the NCAA is not counting this season against a players total years of eligibilty. Both Cole and Moore have some nice skill sets that with some added muscle would make them stronger with the ball and more able to play through contact not to mention help them hold their ground on defense. If they take advantage of the 2 more years of elibility they will have and work on building up their bodies coupled with the playing time experience they will be gaining they can both turn out to be major pieces on what should be some pretty sucessful teams at St. John's. IMO of course.

CMA has us playing with confidence. Made it look easy on the road.

When was the last time we scored off so many alley oops.

Posh really knows how to finish at the basket. Another strong game - 15 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals.

Box out, box out!  Made their center look like Shaq.

Too many unstopped full court layups - stop the dribble.

Don't care what the naysayers say about Cole. Maybe slow but can hit his outside shot.

Not sure I want Wusu to throw up threes, rather see him power to the basket.

Dunn hit his free throws again and had 9 assists.

I cringe at the thought of this team without Posh. I even cringe when he is given a few minutes on the bench. He already is the heart and soul of the team, and will be for his entire teim here.

I thought Dunn played well, but agree that he was a bit too tentative at times.

This game was for the Cole haters.

Really?  He took 18 shots against the worst team in the Big East, committed at least one boneheaded turnover, and turned an easy layup into what I think was an air ball.  Suffice it to say I'm not putting him on my All Big East team just yet.

Hes historically an above average foul shooter so his numbers were bound to improve.

I see you went outta your way to crap on a player that plays on the team in which you root.  Give yourself a hand.
