(POST-GAME) DePaul, Sat., Feb. 20, 7:30p, FS-1 / 570 AM WMCA

Devastating bracketology loss.  Reset season expectations back to original projections.

Team loss. So angry don't even want to say something that I'll regret

I'll never understand how and why St. John's teams always play to the level of their opponent.

Crushing loss.  But this season has been a pleasant surprise.  Let's win two of the next three and this will be a nice season.

Season-ender.  Headline is young team learns you have to show up every night in this league.

Sub-head is Anderson dances with the girl he thinks brung him for too long.

Other sub-head is Dunn had a nightmare.

Let's see how they respond down the stretch

This all comes down to our lack of big man. We forced 25 turnovers but we couldn't stop anybody in the paint.

Nothing positive to take from this loss other than we are all Johnnie fans and fools together lol.

There was exactly one positive from this game.  We were 23/25 from the line.  We do anything close to that, we win most nights.

Nothing else was good, though.  Still, 3 games and the BET left, so let's try and make something of it.

It's been a long time since I saw so many blocked shots and turnovers. DePaul's defense completely embarrassed St John's. Moore and Lopez owned the court tonight.

Just when it looks like St John's has it figured out. They completely fall apart.

Dunn had his worst game of the season.

Wusu had an awful game.

Earlington did his typical disappearing act.

Roberts still doesn't bring much to the table.

It sucks, but move on.

1000%

They owned the paint.  Took everything to the rim and told our driving guards to take a walk.

I do agree with Dink.....throwing a solid zone at them could have broken their rythm.

That qualifies as a choke I think. You just have to win that. Beat Providence, lose to Butler. Beat Xavier, lose to DePaul. I've really enjoyed this team and they've given us alot to be excited for but the truth is that's not what a tournament team does.

That game from Dunn was just one of the worst games I've ever seen from a key SJU player in a big game. At least in recent memory. I like Dunn and I do think the fan base is often too hard on him and I don't think the season turns without him but this was the sort of performance where I think Anderson needed to sit the guy at a point. It was that bad. I know he's a team leader but this was a must win.

Also I think I'm a pretty big cheerleader for Posh but I thought he was tentative on offense especially in the second half. It may have been DePaul in an empty gym but I think he needs to realize that it's essentially Game 7.

Quad 4 loss. Backs are officially against the wall.

This is why you can't start 1-5 in conference play or whatever we did. It makes the margin for error nonexistent. We lost to DePaul and butler down the stretch and that just kills you.

oh well. Give Nova hell. If not, run the table in the BET. It is "our" arena
