When you see that you gotta think cma doesn't care, I mean it's obvious that those 2 are better options over Dunn.

What do you mean by that? Obviously coach is trying to win. People will always feel differently about players but they aren’t playing guys they think make them worse.
So you think Cole or Williams is worse then Dunn? wow
Well I respective disagree there.

Your response tells me everything I needed to know

My opinion here... No question Cole is worst than Dunn.  He is a MUCH better shooter outside of that tell me one thing he's better at than Dunn?  In regards to Williams, I think he's probably our 3rd best player when healthy but unfortunately that does not seem to be the case right now.

I wasn’t even discussing who’s better. I was commenting about the poster saying CMA doesn’t care. Whatever that is supposed to mean?

I’ve been vocal all year that I think Williams should be starting 2g.

ok, well how does Dunn play all 20minutes in the 2nd half vs. DePaul? He was really bad.

Some of you guys need to come in off the ledge. This game was a perfect storm. Depaul played the game of their life and we stunk up the joint. It happens. It's just unfortunate that it happened right now, with so much at stake.  The fact of the matter is that we're still having a much better season then most of us anticipated, and we still have a shot a a tourney bid. Something that was unfathomable just last month. There's still a ways to go and anything can happen.

1.  EBK and Mase:  Enough guys, give it a rest.

2.  Gene: Why not just make a list of the players you think "must transfer," write it down and send to to Coach A so he can file it where it belongs, in the circular file.  Funny that nobody thought any of the players "must transfer" when they were winning 7 out of 8.  Here's an idea:  maybe this whole thing is a process, not the flip of a light switch?

3.  USGuard:  looking forward to your first remotely positive post - please PM me when it goes up so I won't miss it.

4.  Monte:  Let me get this straight:  When Roberts and Dunn join the starting lineup at the same time, the ensuing winning streak is because of Dunn, not because the defense suddenly improved by 8 PPG with a post player, and when we lose a game in large part because Dunn went 1-10 and completed more passes to the other team than his own, it has nothing to do with him, it was just a "perfect storm?"  You are the guy who I want in the foxhole with me!

Counselor, where did I say the win streak was JUST because of Dunn? And where did I absolve him of blame for  the loss? We sucked, and he sucked more than anyone! One of the worst games I've ever seen a Johnny starter play. There, you feel better now?

Really did you read the back and forth?

I did.  I'm not commenting on the merits, just that it didn't need to take over the thread.  PMs are always available if y'all want to "cash me outside" as it were...

And back to the DePaul game..........

Yes, back to the DePaul game. My two cents, and apologies if this was noted earlier in the thread; I lay most of the responsibility for the loss on Coach Anderson for failing to make adjustments during the game. Specifically, not switching from m2m to a zone and packing it in in the paint, where they killed us. Make them beat us with outside shooting. I think he also stays with the full court press, in certain games and to an extent this one, too long when it's obviously not having an impact. Posh also drove to the hoop without dishing off way too many times, resulting in turnovers.

UPON FURTHER REVIEW:  Mase is correct - In going back a half-dozen pages it looks like the original EBK post was quoted in some Boo posts along the way that I misread as being part of the Mase/EBK exchange.  So in fact this was NOT the sort of poster-v-poster back-and-forth that tends to drag threads off topic, and it was also well within the bounds of good-faith disagreement between posters.  My bad, and my apologies to all (but mostly to Mase and EBK).  Nobody's perfect - but I'm going to blame it on lingering crankiness from Saturday night.

Gene, Guard and Monte - sorry, I gave out my one apology for the year, you'll just have to wait for next year for yours.  /media/kunena/emoticons/cool.png

And NOW we can return to the DePaul post-game (though I am with Monte on that one - do we really have to???).

Understandable LMF, since we were all seeing red(not in a good way) after Saturday's game.

This was a tough game to watch, the team just came out flat. Posh drives this team and he did not have a good game.  Tomorrow is another day, and the team that has brought us so much excitement this last run could very well show and take it to Nova again.  As good a coach as Wright is, he has trouble going up against man defenses.
Go Storm you can do this again!

Easy mistake to make no apology necessary!
