I want to hurl invectives in every direction, but I won’t. It’s not worth it. I mostly want to just yell at my wall, or ceiling or something, but I'm not sure that will do me any good.

I very much want this team to win, have and enjoy success, but they can't just can't seem to get over the hump - when they are so close, so many times.   It's so frustrating.

We almost pulled it off with horrendous games by both Champagnie and Wheeler.  As I said in the game thread, if one of 'em played a decent game then the game would've been in the bag during the final 60 seconds.

Very bad game from Champ and Wheeler.

Terrible coaching when does it sink in WUSU can not inbound the ball.

Wusu and Mathis should not have been in the game on the last half court possession. Smith and Ponzon should have been on the court.

Smith should have played alot more.

Additionally, how the hell do we not run sets to get posh more shots!!! Post him up, curls to the basket, isolation drives very bad.

I don’t know how anyone can say that this season has been remotely successful  as the Johnnies have still not beat a team in the Big East with a 500 or better record.

Bad home loss after being up 7 at the half. The team always looks good in blowout wins but if it’s close and coaching/strategy is needed…… ??????

Anderson has shown to not be aware of situational basketball.  Our style of basketball doesn't exactly lend much PT for Smith.  It's unfortunate but that's the deal.  Why not play zone or the bulk of the defensive possessions are zone when Smith is in the game?  He gave us some really good minutes tonight.

Champ and Wheeler 4-26. Another big game Champ doesn’t show up! Regardless, to lose this game at home after their starting point guard went out is inexcusable. Forget about post season, this team deserves nothing. Sorry, but that’s the truth.

Obviously the horrible shooting from Champ and Wheeler cost us the game.  But as I've stated too many times here, WTF is Anderson doing having Wusu inbound the ball in a critical possession?  I just don't understand how we see it and this staff does not.  He really has no clue at these critical times.  But again, that's not ultimately why we lost, just an ongoing concern with this staff.  Those little things...

Creating your own fallacies to argue against again, huh?  Who said anything about the season being successful?

I thought you were done "posting for awhile...."

Why are folks harping on Wusu’s inbound pass?  We were down three with five seconds left at that point.  We weren’t going to win.  Would have like to have seen more Stef Smith and less Wusu.  Smith was playing well.  Not sure why Stanley didn’t come back in.  Perhaps he was struggling on defense but he was playing very well at the offensive end.  Looked extremely confident.

In my opinion, this loss is not on CMA.  It falls squarely on Champagnie.  He’s out best player and he was really bad.

4 for 26 between Champ and Wheeler. Poor shot selection or not, it's just bad.

I dont know if it was bad shot selection; JC missed some close in, open shots

Sometimes u sacrifice some defense for offense. Also opens the court for other players. His defense is not awful. We give up alot of points and many on easy baskets that are the result of poor coaching not player execution.

The last real possession with Champ in the post one on one is the play you want all season long.
I was shocked that he passed it off cross court.
That said, Mathis driving the ball into contact was a high percentage shot for us all night.
oh well

The half court offense was a train wreck in the second half. Relying on step backs from Wusu, jumpers from Nywie. Champ afraid to shoot, passing to Wusu for a missed three and Nywie on the 3 point line in CRUNCH time. The Both horrific offensive possessions. Yet another horrible home loss.

Even without Soriano, no way we should have been 5 point favorites. Vegas remains clueless when it comes to SJU.

If Champ plays a bad game instead of a horrendous game, we pull it out with relative ease.

I feel like Champagnie and Wheeler did a squat session too close to the game. They were short and almost all their misses. It's like they had no juice in their legs.  Short, short, short... every single seeming shot.
