Coach at this point appears to have completely lost faith in Roberts, have to think he may look to transfer unless things change pretty quickly.

All hail the Duke.

No defensive tenacity.

Not what I expected from Anderson. Even without his ideal profile, these guys with the rotations should be at near 100% intensity on most possessions

Just was going to post same, ridiculous.

Agreed. That has nothing to do with talent. As i said in the first half, SJU has more than enough athleticism to play better D

When did Heron become purely a jump shooter. Obviously he’s been disappointing but this is beyond regression. Do you think he’s not fully healthy? Is he limited bc he lost the weight? Very strange.

Also not sure why Roberts didn’t get more burn today. He seemed productive in limited minutes. His athleticism and shot blocking potential may have been helpful today.

Very happy for Earlington. He's worked his butt off and clearly can compete in the BE. Heron has his limitations, but he is very clearly a team first guy. Wish him well, suspect he will do fine after basketball.

Roberts’ minutes reduction a trend.

Especially telling with Sesrs getting minutes and clearly not this level player. They way they are recruiting 20 still tells me they are showing a few the writing is on the wall

As an 86 yr old St John's fan I can no longer take it. Play the core group who will be here next year and sit the rest. We need to recruit Big East caliber players which we have not. It's sad when we can only beat our sister school in the Big East. Admit it. We are an easy win.

Fellas, we need a LOT more talent than Anderson was left with to get to where we want in this league. Anderson had to recruit some stopgaps and fortunately guys like Dunn and Rutherford worked out pretty well but not enough to rise the level of the team overall. Earlington is a guy that is hustling and buying in and it shows. I think we will end up seeing a bit more turnover than initially thought. I only caught glimpse of Creighton game but we don’t have the horses to play with them. We have very few if any guys that we will be hurting without entering next season. The rebuilding is starting with this 2020 class, as unfortunate as that is for us long suffering SJU fans. As far as Roberts goes, I really like him and hope he doesn’t go anywhere and buys in fully. I think he has a lot of untapped talent. Worried about Gwill as paultzman mentioned. He is t playing his way into more PT and is also really tenuous and limited on offense.

The predictability of defeat is what is so damn frustrating. Just don’t have the talent to get wins. Will have to wait to see what players Coach MA and staff brings in for next season. I hope even if it’s in defeat that they can still reach the few kids who might be around when it matters again. This is yet another lost season.

The only guys who should be back are Dunn, Earlington, Champagnie, Williams and Roberts. Williams I don’t think is fully healthy as he has been battling some back issues since the beginning of the season but he does fit this system when healthy. Roberts has untapped talent so I would like him to stay. Go out and recruit 8 more guys. And let’s go from there. We have 4 already in Posh, Wusu, Cole and Moore. Go get four more. I would even let McGriff go, he’s to small.
We are doomed. Not even an NIT bid
Who cares about the NIT?
Especially when so many players on this team likely won't be back.
