(POST GAME) @Connecticut, Wed., Jan. 12, 8:30p, FS-1

Say what u want and criticize whatever coach or player u choose but we had that game won and the refs took it away from us. Same nonsense every year.

Please give Stef Smith all of mathis's minutes.  I dont care if hes not as good defensively.  We need guys on the floor whos shooting needs to be accounted for by the defense.

More Posh, Smith and Coburn and less Posh, Mathis and Wusu.

Strongly disagree.

Go get drew valentine from Chicago loyola and give him whatever he wants to coach this team.  Im sick of being told we play mindless basketball on every broadcast.

Can't blame the refs when a box out of the one guy who is likely to beat you doesn't happen. Wheeler is not a physical beast, but he should have given up his body there.

Officiating may have sucked but you generally have steep mountain to climb when starting guards shoot 7/30. Dylan really forcing things and getting more minutes than merited

Bottom line, box out and grab a defensive rebound, we win. End of story.

I already know how this thread is gonna go but all I know is we were down 11 about half way through the 2nd half and fought back.

This team is not very talented, it’s not a stretch to say that. But, they made some plays in the last 5 minutes and Champ did what leaders (and what guys who want to play in the NBA) do.

Im leaving it at this. That was not a foul on Wheeler at the end. Not even remotely. That was the usual Yukon home cooking. This game ends there without that bull crap call. I won’t even get into their discrepancy with whistles…that was no foul on Wheeler.

Sorry to be a broken record but this is the second year in a row Dylan has gotten more minutes than merited.  He does a lot of good things but he has major flaws at this point in his career.

We outrebounded Yukon 47-4 & had 15 more fg attempts.

Only 2 fouls on Yukon after the 12-minute TO. Unreal. 17 for us in the same time span.

I wanted to see enough games before saying anything but Every transfer we got has been just awful. These are suppose to be D1 players but nobody’s can make FTs. Worried about recruiting who would want to join this mess.

I'm done for the night. But I'll say this. Wusu's poor play aside, our guys did a great job to come back against a very good team on their court and we should have won. On to Georgetown and Creighton games that are both very winnable.

It started with the out of bounds play with 4 seconds left.  We needed to keep everyone in front of us and force them to dribble up the court.  That heave and tipped ball put us in a bad position.  Par for the course for SJ fan.

We lost due to lack of shooters period. Champ is our only consistent shooter. Hell, we have two starting guards who look to not shoot the ball. How many times did Posh and Mathis have the ball at the three point line for open jump shots and they chose to drive the ball into the teeth of the defense and throw up a wild shot? I’m not saying you just start jacking up threes but you have to take and make some otherwise you can’t keep the defense from packing it in and the result of that is all the blocked shots and charging fouls. Stef Smith has to play more because he has the ability to shoot the three and hopefully Wheeler can continue his improved play. I’d to see Pinzon play more also.

I don't usually question CMA's decision making, but wouldn't Soriano have a better chance of keeping Sanogo off the offensive glass? Plus Wusu was in a fog all night, with his confidence shot from getting nearly every drive rejected. Perhaps it was a night to sit him a little more. Not that there were many other options.
