Posh or Ponds?

If we are tallying up Guards of the last 20 years or so , Erik Barkley has to be in the conversation .
Barkley, sad to say, left after 2000 season so can't include him in the last 20 years.  That being said, Erik was a memorable player.

After Pitt game, I'm sticking w/ Ponds

Ponds would have torched them.

Posh is terrific, but at this point in their careers, I’d take Ponds and it’s not even close.

We'll see how Posh's SJU career ends up. In Shamorie's 3 years, we were 51-49 with one NCAA appearance with a play in game elimination. I was at our Big East tourney demolishing by Marquette that same year where Justin Simon was the only Johnnie who seemed remotely interested. That team clearly underachieved.

Everyone has different views on what constitutes a great player, stats or team success or both. Personally I put way more emphasis on being a very good player on a real good team.  No way you're an all time SJU great if your team doesn't win imho, but that's just me.

I'd take Ponds with the team we had out there today.  Could have used his scoring.

With a healthy Julian, Posh is a better fit.

Agreed NC. I also like players who make their teammates better, which
usually results in winning teams.
