I can't believe the talk on here of leaving the Big East, or dropping down to the A-10 or lower, honestly I brought that up during the dark days of Norm Roberts I'll admit but was wisely told on here (good luck seeing your beloved Redmen on TV)!!! I snapped out of that thought process real quick.
We were one of 4 Big East teams to make the NCAA's this year. Attendance was up, interest is up from the Norm era, this is not 2009.
The program as chaotic as it is now is better off than it was 10 years ago Lavin and Chris to their credit generated more fan interest, there is a semblance of a foundation although its falling apart fast.
The longer this drags out the worse it will get, they need to get Cluess now and end this misery, do not lose what you already have
This misguided talk of leaving the Big East is deja vu for me. Many years ago, many folks up here wanted UCONN to leave the Big East saying they could not be competitive. Then Jim Calhoun was hired and you can look up the rest. Unfortunately, no one at SJU would know the next Jim Calhoun if they fell on them. But we can still have hope.
