Last day in Rome unfortunately. Next stop Positano!

Now I’m enjoying myself in Rome this evening with a few glasses of Prosecco under my belt so I may be misreading Paultz’ usual cryptic post. But in my experience, boomerangs generally come back so I’m going to take that as a positive.
are you at the beginning or end of the trip ?

Take a Valium for that trip to Positano! The curves along the Amalfi drive are an experience you're not going to forget.
BTW, an old friend of mine's family run a limoncello stand in Vico Equense which is the town before Sorrento. Incredible local lemon ices! Ask for Gianfranco's dad!!

Never been to the Amalfi Coast. At the top of my bucket list. Maybe, I’ll go the year St. John’s make it back to the Final Four...
Going in two weeks with a group from my second alma mater, Fordham.

We know that all family business will be settled by the time you leave.:)

I highly recommend stopping in both Vico Equense and Sorrento before undertaking the Amalfi Drive. Again, in Vico, you must stop at Pops! If you go, you will see this young lady who is my friend's sister. You will never have a better lemon sorbet in your lifetime. Buon' Viaggio!

Side topic here is Amalfi and Positano...
If you want to hire a fantastic local guide, superb English, personable, with world travel experience..
Try Tony Taxi of Positano...on trip advisor or directly. He knows the amalfi coast’s every rock and turn and every side trip to avoid the traffic backups. The taxi is really a Mercedes van in most cases. I took my family on a cruise ship tour of Mediterranean and he was the highlight.
Sorry to distract from Ponds discussion but with several redmen going, i thought it was worth mentioning.

Thanks for this info. That part of Italy is also a bucket list item for my wife and I that we hope to get to in 2020. I will file this note on Tony Taxi away for future reference.
Paultzman, enjoy your trip. Hopefully when you return, things will be as sunny in Queens as they are on the Amalfi coast!
