Phil Greene

St. Johns: Where we don't celebrate new recruits, but celebrate our own players announcing they aren't transferring.

Not everyone is happy with Phil returning.

They should be

He is the only player I did not mind transferring followed by his boyfriend Obekpa who had become a cancer to the team.
As far as Jakarr, I just consider him a college drop out now since so many players are coming out even the D league will be a challenge for his skillset. The team may actually be better next year. LOL!

Why?

Phil gets a bad rap around here, but that's only because he was forced to play out of position. When he was used properly towards the end of the season, he was hitting 3 pointers at a 40% clip as a spot up shooter. He's really our only shooting threat outside of Harrison.

He's coming back. Tweeted out that him, rysheed, and DLo are best backcourt in the nation next year.

Boy, you woud think they would accomplish something before the bragadoccio!! I mean team wise; this still is a team sport, no? It's about W's and L's not unwarranted conceit. And I guess Branch isn't playing next year?
. All well and good, but Phil didn't actually tweet that. Someone else did and he retweeted it (before you get too excited, seems these kids retweet just about anything with their names in it).

Thanks, my bad then.

Amen. Although Rysheed should ratchet it up this year.

Yes but think he should be a solid player of the bench

I hope part of the "negotiations" on behalf of the staff to keep Greene didn't include a promise of heavy minutes, allowing him to masquerade as a point guard. He can make a valuable contribution at the SG position, but the staff has never contained him in that role. Branch is a far more effective PG backup to Jordan.

Jordan also was very improved from outside.

And I watched the Robert Morris game to the bitter end and saw Branch hit three threes in a row in garbage time. I think he can do it if he would only practice.

Lavin needs to give Jordan the ball and tell him the team is his, go get them. I think Jordan can score 20 a game and make his case for a high NBA pick come 2015. Plus next year the draft is much weaker. I see Jordan in the top 5- hopefully higher. Go get them Rysheed!!!
