I s/w a friend who gets to watch practice and says he is their best player, I have a feeling if he is not cleared soon he will be playing overseas before our season even ends.

Can one of the Mods please add, after Orlando Sanchez, in parenthesis (Waiting for Godot)?
Sanchez may soon enter the exclusive "Coulda, Shouda St. John's Hall of Shame" along side Lenny Cooke and Darius Miles.
Tease the fans....."he would be our best player" and then the closest some of us will see him play is in the Rucker Summer League.

"THIS WEEK"...........way to go!!!! January 2013.......from the above retrofit to his 5-7 day assumption, I can assume the NCAA made a promise to St. John's to have an answer within ONE WEEK. LMFAO X2!

On top of what they submitted thr prior week and the week before that, and so on, and so on.
 
The NCAA eligibility process is erratic, illogical and unpredictable.

It's like re-financing. You've submitted every document required and they come up with 7 more (3 of which you've already given them) that need to be faxed.

If and when it involves foreign bureaucracies you can factor in x amount of additional time and just hope that what they send you is what you requested.

That being said Coach Lavin would have to be certifiiable to be more transparent and bring us in on what's happening in this irrational process.

We would question every move made by the NCAA and second-guess every response on our behalf

It sounds to me likely that Coach Lavin is doing everything that can possibly be done to ensure a successful outcome to this torturous ordeal.

And..speaking of the irrational...I have a feeling that we'll get our answer momentarily...a consummation devoutly to be wished.
 
Watching Gtown today and the perfection of the "how to stop STJ defense", Orlando seems more critical than ever. The antidote to the 3 X 2 zone where all players are instructed to collapse to the middle except the guy on DLO, is to have a player (Orlando) cut to just below the foul line who has the strength to go to the basket, take the short J, or pass to whoever is unguarded on the baseline or outside. At the moment non of the players we have cutting to below the foul line are taken as a real threat by the defense, so they don't truly collapse to the middle and no one is open.

I'm pulling like crazy for him. The kid has shown extraordinary patience. Even if he is only eligible for the rest of this season, I'm hopeful he can thrive and showcase himself for a pro career either here in the States or in Europe.
 
Isnt there some kind of lawsuit here? I mean when shabazz was gonna sit, UCLA cried lawsuit. There has to be some kind of reasonable time consideration given to the student. Its totally not fair to the kid. The kids sport is in season, lets fast track a decision boys. Something needs to be done. Either yay or nay...let the kid know!
 
Coach Keady in pre-game reception on Saturday said he is hoping that a decision would be coming on Monday.

He would be an excellent add for tomorrow night's game. Instant major contributor from Day one was what I was told on Saturday.

Point was, we're almost a quarter-way through the BE season, so Coach Keady's hoping is likely as futile as mine. Will be happy if I'm wrong.
