I think he is. Obekpa has a long, long way to go to be a viable offensive player. He's also a tweener as a center. Obekpa is a nice player, especially on defense. The "other" guy is a bit bigger and much better on offense. Don't get me wrong. I like Obekpa, but as he said, his heart is not here amongst other things. Fwiw, I also think Sanchez is a heck of a player and athlete.

The "other" guy is not the defensive player as Obekpa (probably, not close from a shotblocking standpoint), but he's light years better from an offensive standpoint. Don't get me wrong, like yourself, I'd certainly like to nab Obekpa, but I think word is getting around that it's not in the cards.

 The UCLA C. grad student? How interested is he in us?  First we had a mystery transfer, then a mystery recruit,, then a mystery shooter, now we have a mystery center.Hopefully this one will pan out.

I've heard whispers of Obekpa to Cincy.

Tough luck for Providence, but they've got themselves a nice class regardless and they have ships to give apparently. I really hope they do well, because we need our non-football brothers to be as strong as possible during this critical stage of transition on major college athletics.

Unfortunately, I don't think Coach Cooley got the right type of recruits. I absolutely love their freshman LaDonantae Henton--he's a surefire first team all-Big East player--but Ledo is Lenny Cooke 2.0 to me. I wouldn't have offered Ledo even if I coached Marist. Add to that Sidiki? It might work, but it could also blow up in Providence's face. I would not be shocked if Cooley is out of the job in 3-4 years, although Henton and Dunne will be a menacing duo. Dunne is a great recruit.

What I am so impressed about with Lavin's recruits, is they all seem like great kids. Moe is the nicest kid ever and a true ambassador for the program. Even 3'Angelo is lovable in his own way on the court, and certainly off of it.

Seriously, I'm amazed that not one more C has popped up yet. There's enough plugged in guys. That means the staff wants to be extremely low key and surprise the competition.
