The next step of the process for 19 targets should be upon us shortly and suspect, with all of staff’s hard work, SJU should garner some solid visits. Of course, getting commitments is all that counts, but let’s stay in the race for now.
 
Five-Star Scottie Lewis has set his first two official visits:

Florida: September 7-9
St. John's: October 5-7

I see Samuels only has one visit scheduled (to Wake Forest this weekend). I'm tempted to drive over there this weekend and tell him he needs to head to beautiful Queens, NY for his next visit. :)

Zags updated that. On Tuesday Williams will be in Florida with Quinones and Achiuwa.

Jalen Hill will be Thursday in Vegas.

.@StJohnsBBall coach Chris Mullin and his staff will see 2019 big man @kxng_alpha (Kofi) Today at Oak Hill.

They will also see James Bishop in Baltimore ahead of his visit to campus this weekend.

Matt hustled to Baltimore to see Bishop as soon as possible after his LSU visit. Probably sacrificed Giant game. :)

I feel we have an excellent chance with Kofi. Matt and Chris doing everything they can to land him. Trust me, he is missing his mom.:cheer:

I'm not happy he's missing his mom, but there's a great way he can see her more often. 'Smile' (I'm a dinosaur, that's the best I can do!)
 
Zach B. noted on twitter that entire staff would be at in-home visit for Jaylin Williams.....

Including Mitch Richmond (per a follow up question by aimeone to his original post)

Head coaches from LSU and St. John’s (full staff) were among the coaches at @IMGABasketball to see Lester Quinones today.
 
For those who get caught up too much in rankings, here’s a kid who many of us frowned upon. My buddy Jpm14 tells me he was clearly interested in Johnnies.

Not moaning about it, but just hope folks can be fine if/when SJU lands a kid flirting with top 100 status. Always better to see schools recruiting the player v obsession w rankings. Btw, do sense a good chance with a similarly ranked guard.
