Even Yankee fans have got to realize the Splendid Splinter was the best hitter in the history of the game. He played 18 seasons, and missed close to 5 seasons due to WWII and Korea.
Joltin' Joe no slouch and almost' matches him offensively but not quite. Although, Joe D the far better defensive player.
Two for 'The Ages' for sure.
