Yes, quite the audible list -

Assistant coach quit in the middle of the game.[/quote]

A player was tying his shoes in the huddle?

I still believe, fair or not, that TJ Cleveland needs to make himself known more as a lead recruiter because schools want to see that at the forefront. The coaches that get to the next step are more often than not, landing some stars as lead recruiter and AHC at their prior jobs. Look at the flack that CMA takes on these boards recruiting-wise to see what the next level holds. TJ needs to be the tip of the spear recruiting-wise to propel his name to get a good gig imho. I’m sure he knows his basketball. That won’t be the defining factor.

Rhode Island taking Baylor's place at Mohegan Sun. That is quite a drop in SOS for the teams that were to play Baylor.

Was Figgy out of stamps?

Former St. John's star LJ Figueroa, who is now at Oregon, still hasn't heard back from NCAA about eligibility. Told #sjubb was cooperative and helpful in proccess. Waiver was only somewhat recently filed, source said.

We weren’t doing Great in the league with LJ,do not think him not being here makes much diff
in fact thing we ca do without his bad shot selection. Not saying he is not a good player just seems we are putting him on too high a pedicle .Think his numbers will be made by some else or team will play better with LJ and Heron where we were in the big East it will be hard to do worse

St. John’s enters season without obvious top scoring option

Think many on of our fan base are underestimating the importance of having one or two go-to guys. Even if they have subpar years, as LJ did last year. It changes the defensive strategy and opens things up for other guys. Tough to be successful without either a go-to guy(s), or a team full of guys who are all offensive threats to some degree. Time will tell if any of our players step up as go-to guys, our if our team collectively steps up offensively.

My guess is that it will be Dunn. good or bad, he's not shy with the ball. Scored 12 ppg last year and 10 FGA's. If Anderson gives him time and green light, I can see him scoring 15 ppg in 30 min. just hope his %'s go up.

I think it’s gonna be a combo of Dunn, Posh in the backcourt as well as Champs, Moore and Cole in the front court. Having two guards that can get it done will change our look a lot. Champs is gonna be better and we will be able to score more inside as well. I still think it will be more by committee. That Texas Tech team besides maybe Culver played good ball by committee. Virginia’s teams win on defense. We will go as far as our defense and depth take us which is pretty good this year. We definitely need to land some real scorers in coming classes though. It’s why landing a kid like Cuffe would be huge for us.

can see the staggered bench seating here
