NY Post: Masiello Would Love St. John's Job

This may all be moot. Rothstein reporting on CBS Sports that Mullin has accepted the job.

Sorry. I should say that Rothstein is reporting that Mullin is expected to take the job. Big difference.

Like you said, moot point.

But I think the fact Masiello made one mistake early in his coaching career is forgivable.
Nothing about that reads "train wreck" to me. But I do understand the implications of unethical behavior, and being less that truthful to your superiors. It's would give me pause.
But I think if they interviewed him and vetted him, those concerns would be alleviated.

Again, in all likelihood its a moot point, and we'll be celebrating this week.

Desco, I couldn't agree more that we all deserve a second chance after making mistakes. I support that. But for me, with Masiello, I say let someone else give him another shot. As a matter of fact, Manhattan already did by taking him back. But I agree that this shouldn't prevent him from getting a head coach job at a higher level program. Just not at St. John's! ;)

WHO CARES. NO MAS. NOT EVER. NO THANKS. NO WAY.

HELLO MULLIN!

Agree totally with your post. Look I'm all about forgiveness and I appreciate he wants to coach here and I'm not opposed to him down the road whenever Mullin retires as coach.

But for now just no. To give you an example of how big the resume thing is I work at a huge financial company as a lot of my friends here know. A couple of years ago every single person who had my title had to verify their education status because everyone had listed it on the internet as part of their financial background. Literally people who worked here over 50 years had to provide proof of their diploma and where they went to school.

If you lied about it even though you listed it years ago and it had no bearing on the job you have been doing the last 50 years for the company you were fired.

It' was that big of a deal
