Nuri Leaving

Speechless .... Way to give up on the team, the school, the city & yourself!!!!!

The wheels are quickly falling off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What?!? Where did this come from? Maybe now we know why he has been in a "funK".
Please provide details...

Supposedly the kid & Dunlap butted heads over the past few weeks & he feels he can do better elsewhere. Where is anyone's guess.

I can't believe he let his teammates down like that. Its disgusting that he would just quit.

Going into conference play with 6 guys is just down right criminal.

It also sucks for Lavin - he's now gonna have to rush back and control this sinking ship.

If there's any kid who wants to walk away from the quality of coaching STJ can offer, best he leave the program now.

I don't know if that's the case with Nuri or not, but a high-achieving kid with talent can go a long way with our staff.

Definitely puts us in a deeper hole for the rest of this year, but we knew there would be challenges ahead anyway.

Not hearing good things. We really do have a black cloud hanging over us.

I think you know where most of us will leap to on that one. I hope you're not hinting at what I think you might be hinting at...

this is really not looking good to potential recruits!!! the real questons is what else is exaclty going on?? lavin need to come back ASAP and right this sinking ship

It might be time now for the slow-down, Princeton style offense the rest of the way.

Since 0-18 in the BE is very possible now, might as well keep the games competitive, and maybe throw off you're opponents for future games.

I was thinking the same while reading the topic of this thread. I believed his reduced role of late probably has caused some dissension between the two. I could be wrong, but I believe that is the issue. Hopefully, he thinks about it and change his mind.

Otherwise, it would suck that he'll turn his back, in this trying time, on his teammates. This isn't good at all! Quite frankly, what has transpired over the past 9 months have been awful. I'm not really counting what has happened in the early going on the court. Teams can rebound from poor starts.

In our case, we're getting crappy news from Lavin's health (which has improved) to the recruiting front. We can rebound from the Big East schools fallout. But, this bad news we continue when it comes to recruiting is awful.

Who else is leaving?

Personally, I'm worried about who's not coming, especially if they have watched our recent poor play.

I'm moreso worried about who's not coming because of the hits we continue to take on the recruiting front. It's starting to look bad, regardless of the reasons players aren't here. Our program and others have played poorly and still were able to garner good recruits. No doubt, it could play a role, but I'm worried about it for other reasons other than our current play on the court.
