Got my booster at the Rockville Pharmacy in RVC. Online appointment was available.
Got my booster the day after thxgiving at cvs. had really bad reaction to it but lasted mainly like 30 hours. Definitely worth the misery to have the booster now and after the game yesterday that was probably worse side effect than the booster
I had the same response to the booster (I had no such response to first 2 doses) I got in early November--took extra strength Tylenol (would suggest that everyone consider them after getting shots. Got the booster from my primary care doc who is part of a group practice of a major NY hospital group. They were dispensing Moderna which we had after the Pfizer booster was approved but before FDA approved the Moderna booster. We got the full dose as a booster and today Moderna announced it is twice as effective as the 1/2 dose being administered..
I was expecting we would need booster as my buddy who is a doctor of immunology said as much in early March 2020. Like influenza vaccines for flu, the vax has to be modified to meet the changes caused by the virus mutations. In all liklihood we are going to have to learn to live with covid (as we have with influenza) and watch for future mutations and adjust the vax to combat them.
