I heard one can't turn down an NIT bid nowadays. I'm actually a bit surprised they didn't make it.

I'd turn down a CBI bid, if I was Marquette.

He said it. But I was referring to he and Anderson basically saying the same thing when it came to the NIT.

By the way, I see Indiana and Maryland didn't make it, either.
 
Providence seeded #11 after winning the conference tourney.
Xavier in a play-in game.
SJU gets a #1 seed in the NIT.

All says shows that if we would've just beaten Providence, we'd be in the NCAAs.

To me it seems like the NCAA selection committee didn't like the Big East this year (at least after Creighton/Nova), for providence to get 11 seed after winning the big east and Xavier play in game shows to me that St. John's wasnt really even in the discussion. Maybe if Providence was like a 9 seed and Xavier like 11 then maybe I would think the selection committee would of been considering us. Also us being a number one seed in the NIT doesn't mean the NCAA selection committee had us that high on their list. I think we needed to beat Providence and then Seton Hall to get in.

The bracket for our section is posted below. If we advance on Tuesday we will play on campus against the winner of Green Bay and Belmont somewhere from Thursday through Monday. If we advance again then next Tuesday or Wednesday.will face the winner of the bottom of the bracket possibly Illinois or Clemson.

8 Robert Morris

6) Georgia State

7) Boston University

If I didn't live an hour and a half away and have to work til 6:30 then I'd actually probably be there. I'm one of the people that needs their head examined.
