I think itnalso has to do with their attitude towards attending classes. If they do not want to go to classes they can go the D league route and not have to worry about classes at all, that may have beena cconsideration for Sampson as well.

I don't think Sampson wanted to go to school anymore either.

Driscoll likes calling offensive fouls on us in the final seconds. He was the guy that whistled Harrison against Gonzaga

Riddle me this, maestro-men:

Emile Blackman, 6'4" guard for the screamin' Purple Eagles, finished with 21 pts and 4 rebounds. Hails all the way from Dix Hills and is the nephew of some guy named Mark Jackson.

Not saying he is the next big thing, but was he ever on our recruiting radar?

Some very negative fans here. This game was never in doubt even when we were only up 46-45. They could not stay in front of our guards at all...it was a joke. We missed the front end of three 1 and 1s and two dunks. They banked a three and another jumper. They also hit some fugly threes they shouldn't have attempted and were settling for jumpers.

These are the types of games you use to get better. Stewart, Balamou, Jones, and Alibegovic all got some good burn. Coach used this game to get Branch more aggressive. Remember, Xavier just lost to two cupcakes. 5-1 with an RPI friendly OOC schedule ahead. Bring on Syracuse. Let's be positive here.

The same Syracuse that are giving Michigan everything they can handle - at home no less?

The same St. John's team that took #10 Gonzaga down to a one possession game Friday night. Our fans don't show up and we get on these kids for not getting up for a patsy on a Tuesday night in a half-empty CA in a classic trap game scheduled between #10 Gonzaga at MSG and Syracuse in the Dome?

We really just suck as a fan base. It's just awful.

Not as bad as all being stupid

Unfortunately the two are not mutually exclusive.

'Cuse goes down to Michigan, 68-65. Two huge Orange TO's in final seconds. A pox on both their houses (ACC & Big 10), but you gotta love it! (But with our lack of size, I'll be surprised if we can even keep it close on Saturday.)

And Wake and Pitt lose to Minnesota and Indiana, respectively, in ACC/Big 10 Challenge.

I don't see our lack of size having a bigger impact on Saturday than it did this last Friday. I love that Syracuse has a penchant for turnovers with 19 or 20 tonight, which will help feed our break. Tough place to play on Saturday, but we have the best chance we've had in awhile and I think our guys will step up and get it done.
