I tried starting a thread about next year but I got this "you don`t have permission to access this site", guess I`m not cool enough like you cool people on here to start my own thread.
So I`ll post it here if it doesn`t get deleted.

`m a believer that next year is a big season for lavin.

Sanchez (I believe him and Sampson will be our 2 best players next year), GG (thinking he`ll be a beast), and Bourgault (hoping in his 2nd and last year that he`ll learn from this year and hit those 3 balls like kerr and paxson.)
Will all be seniors.
Sampson I believe will be back next year to make a run at a NCAA title, yeah I said it. Start Obekpa (hoping he can get some offensive skills next year), Sampson (should improve on a impressive freshmen year), Sanchez (would have been our best player this year, Branch, and Harrison (could be key if he can learn to enjoy the game instead of beating himself up.)
With Pointer, Garrett, Green, GG, Bourgault, and Hooper off the bench
If Jordan wants in then maybe we could get Jones or Balamou to transfer.

Could be a special year.

They have to atleast make some what of a run next year and some top recruits take notice and would want to come seeing that lavin and SJU is making noise. If they don`t then in 2 years those seniors are gone. Sampson would most likely be gone. No top recruit coming in so in 2 years they`d be like this year again, would be another 3 years before they`d do something.

Does anyone agree with me on this or am I over reacting? I mean if not next year then when?
I`m being serious, not joking.
 
It's going to be a very interesting off season!!! We can all the beat players in the be but I'd not coaches well we will be average!
 
I hope another year makes a difference with this team but frankly I dont see it!! We cant throw the ball into the ocean! Athletes are great but at the end of the day you need to put the ball in the basket. Like I said in a previous post, JS and DLo are the only players worth saving!! As far as our point guard goes, he cant hit a jump shot as well. This team is an enigma. They play with no consistency whatsoever. Maybe part of it is the coaching. I will defer that to the posters on this board who really understand the "x" and "o"s of the game better than I do!!

I'm sick of hearing next year.... I'm a recent graduate, at this point im already just praying "next year" comes before I'm 6 ft. under.

I kept my mouth or in this case fingers quiet for three seasons of Lavin..Dont get me wrong I dont think we have had a better recruiter since Fran. But I cannot understand the offense he is trying to run..Very basic stuff is missing..When the basic stuff is missing, you better have some great shooters...This team this season and next will not have great shooters..We have athletes who cannot shoot straight...Next season will be just the same as this season..If Sanchez was the next coming, he would just go pro..There is a reason he will play next season....I understand Harrisons anger with the assistant coaches, What exactly are we trying to do? I dont think he handled it well, but I understand..The best season lavin has had here was with Norms kids, and that is hard to swallow..Great programs expect kids to go pro, tired of hearing Harkless leaving hurt us...All the great programs lose kids to the nba..If there is one thing that will give me any sense of belief in this program being any better than under Norm, will be putting in an offense..Not dribble, dribble, chuck a brick..This team will be the same next season, maybe worse as the other teams in a very, very weak ncaa field this season will be better next season..

Before you get attacked by 90% of this board, or the Lavin sheep, just want to say I totally agree with you.

You need to be able to recruit consistently and annually. We still have to get through the problem of too many players in the same graduating class. Needs to be staggered better. That will take 3 to 4 years as we only have one eligibility for this (2013-14) year as I understand it.

Aside from that I haven't seen a shooting night like last night in awhile and hope not to for some time to come. It happens to the best!

I am expecting at least 2, possibly 3 players on this team to not be here next year... (No inside info, just my gut)

There are just too many questions marks...

Very fair points. While I agree with some, I will say that some of us were hoping for too quick of a turnaround. Our program was in shambles of sorts when Lavin took over. To think he'd come in an immediately be getting top recruits to a program that was at the bottom of the Big East was just not realistic. It's a slow process. Now are we on the right track? We are definitely getting better talent than we've had. My main concern is what I'm seeing on the court. Not sure if it's Lavin's coaching or not, but the offensive sets are atrocious, and our zone has more holes than Swiss cheese.

Speaking of coaching I did not like the way we attacked the zone,as I often said basics are bad picks are sloopy or not there,not much on give and goes, hardly even see back doors Check the old Princeton teams Why when we could not hit an outside shot he pulls Marco when he only played a few mins WE do have great athelete's but we have to recruit shooters 3 half was a joke and embarrassing Think the kid from Harvard will be a sleeper and be a big help next yr Give coach a grade c for hios game coaching so far recruiting B He needs to get a 5 star kid and put us on the map

You should get a small clue before you throw out inane posts with arbitrary numbers just to highlight a point. I guess this is an attack, but not on Tom Bradley's post, but yours pobee10. Tom Bradley made his point in a respectful manner. He didn't go at anyone, just stated his concerns regarding the program going forward. That is all anyone can hope for in the vast world of fan websites, where many are injected with super steroids. You on the other hand tried to be wise guy.

Would you say the number is more like 95%?

The team has been awful at shooting the ball all season long
